When I come to the website it redirects me straight to the forum, so I assume some changes are being made. I've also noticed the arcade is gone. Is all this stuff coming back?

There is work going on, but it isn't finished. The forum software has been upgraded to the latest version, but anything extra we had (such as the cmps and arcade) are yet to return.

Watch this space.

I love the idea, but I've noticed the image isn't working. Or is that just my computer? Doesn't matter either way, I just want to know if its my computer or not.

Because it's a custom skin we use there's no icons for the new options. If you change back to the default skin (from the menu at the bottom left of the page) the button graphics show.

As stated in Diz's post in the Rorta News forum there will be about a week of transition. I will be working on the new skin and main site all this week. Everything should be peachy then.

It was saying I had visited since the last post in that thread, but hadn't read it. I'm saying I had to have read it, because I wrote it.

So is there an estimate on when everything will be back up? Not that I care, just curious.

Sidenote: I just looked at the mempers list, from highest to lowest post count. I need a life.

The RAM in my main PC has died and is being RMA'd. Also need to do a few foxers while I'm waiting for my dole to be put through or else I starve. All I can say is as soon as possible...

A perfectly valid reason, as I have no life whatsoever.

There's a link to the top of the page, in the bottom right hand corner. Click it, then click the Rorta logo at the top of the screen. It's still better than scrolling the whole way to the back of the page.

its just aggravating when you have 25 or more replies to a thread. thanks doc, didnt see the top link in the corner.

Yeah, it's taking quite a while for them to upgrade, huh?

...

I couldn't care less of how many post counts I or any other member has. I've been at Rorta for a while, but only post occasionally. Posting just for the sake of running a contest is dumb, IMO. Or maybe I'm just lazy.:joint:

Or maybe I'm just lazy.:joint:I only actually did it so I could see how many of the pages of members actually really post. Post counts are stupid. You can barely post and contribute way more than I ever have. Most of my posts are just commentary. I contribute very little.

Sidenote: and I havent posted half as much lately. No offense to anyone here, but the threads are taking a turn for the worse in my opinion.

The amount and the quality of posts and threads fluctuates quite a lot on a board like Rorta.

I just hit the post reply button and start typing. If i don't like where im going with it or don't know how/what to say i just close the tab. That's why there is some shit from me. When i start to drink alot like now i tend to ramble etc.

Personally speaking, I haven't seen the board so active since I signed up. The problem with the quality of posts, and this board in general, Eso, is not the posts or the people, but creating threads that are refreshing, new, bold and original that encompass the spirit of site, as outlined on the main board. How many active threads are there in each section, that have specifically to do with hacking, drugs, the www, poetry, sex?

I'd like to see a community develop here full of mature thinkers, not a bunch of kids or TOTSE rejects, but that's just me.

Personally, I would like to see people adding to what you have described. We already have a good community, Rorta always has. What we need is more people to add to this, to make a great community.

As you said, Rorta has never been so active. And in general, posts have been rather intelligent, as well as the members making them. But as Stone said, a board like Rorta is going to fluctuate. Right now it has fluctuated into things like "How to make napalm" and "A guide to pedobaiting". Things that I found wildly out there and unnecessary. My day will come again.

Ahh... Yes and it makes me proud to contribute to Rorta through interesting and almost scholarly articles such as this:

Well, if morality is right, it is quite obvious to everyone that morality, in fact, is subjective and an ever-changing force. It can't be depended on for a definite answer to correctness on an issue. And the larger group can't be wrong, right?
Let us take the American Civil War for an example. Is it truly, moral for black people to be slaves? The South would say yes. The North would say no. Don't tell me about majority, because the Union and the Confederacy both occupied huge tracts of land and had large numbers of people. Who is morally correct? No one, actually, because it's one group's word against another.

The only solution was war.

Now we say that it's morally correct to say that black people are equal to whites. Why? because that war decided the outcome of that issue.

Is it not evident that society needs war to decide what is moral for certain issues?
Yeah..
But it's just posts like this that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside:
Wow.
I got a boner just reading an article on fucking farm animals..
...
That's badass.:tongue1:
Now THAT'S quality.
