This has only happened twice, too bad one time was last night. I had a great time, don't get me wrong. I ran into a lot of friends, got a few good kisses, ran into an ex at the end of the night I'm interested in hooking up with again, but as far as drinking goes, I drink the hard stuff. I was pounding shots, going with Adios Mother Fuckers, and others, but NOTHING! Not even a little buzz! The experience was compounded because I knew I wasn't, so I just felt like shit and a douche for spending all that money. Oh, well. Last night was weird anyway. Really weird, but more good than bad.

Anyway, just rambling. Moral of the story? Drink more and faster.

Yeah, it happens to the best of us. When I was younger I ran about in a big gang and from time to time it would happen to any of us. It was very much a sporadic thing, happening to any of us at random. It has happened to me maybe two or three times in the long time Ive been drinking.

I'm moving this to Drugs Drugs Drugs! as it is to do with the effects of alcohol.

It hasn't happened to me, but then again I used to drink about 16 pints and countless shots each night. Even if I didn't go to the pub I'd have at least 10 cans. Nowadays I wouldn't drink as much, maybe half the amount I used to, and I find I enjoy the night alot more because I actually remember it. I was known for being a drunk, and it was like I had a sticker on my head saying 'BAR ME FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT' everytime I went out.

anyone who drinks regularly will have this happen to them. i specifically remember one night where i was with a bunch of friends and we bought two kegs, started at around 8pm finished one keg around 12am. i hadnt even caught the slightest buzz even after 3 kegstands and 20+ cups of beer. everyone else was hammered drunk and then there i was just standing around watching all the dumb shit happen. so i decided that if that much beer couldnt get me drunk i would just stop for a couple days. it worked. the next time i drank was 3 days later and from half that amount of beer i was smashed. so thats what i would say. just lay off for a couple days and see if that changes anything.

Anytime that has ever happened to me it has taken at least around a week. Actually, thinking back, thats a lie. I usually just give it a week, and don't really try any sooner.

I rarely drink more than once a month.

I do feel for you, for having wasted all of that money...at least to me, I consider most bars a waste of money. I wish I was a lightweight...getting drunk off of ten shots or so would be awesome. I have an unfortunate tendency to lean towards the higher priced scotches and such...I happen to also love beer, but I favor the belgian ales more than the american pilsners...and as such the alcohol content is generally much higher, and the price is too.

moral of the story is: if you are a lightweight, don't take any shit from anyone for it. it just means you can get to that state much faster, and cheaper. totally off topic I suppose, but forgive me.
