Would it be safe to take Benedryl for a steady DXM buzz?

What other products contain DXM in the UK, I can't figure Erowids ansers out!

If so wats your expirience with DXM?

A buddy chugged a bottle of Robitussin Dry Cough, but said the buzz wasn't worth the nausea. The Agent Lemon extraction is easy enough; I'd pick up two bottles of Robitussin and extract the DXM, then get that down you. Agent Lemon Extraction (http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/dxm/faq/dxm_chemistry.shtml) - it starts about a quarter way down the page. Don't do the first one. Best not to play with NaOH.

If anyone does the Agent Lemon, what kind of yield do you get?

Diphenhydramine (benadryll) is perfectly safe wtih DXM, although many claim that benadryll's deliriant effects become more profound at lower doses when taken in combination with DXM. If you're taking it to reduce itching, only take one one or two benadryll. If you want to just be out of your head you'd best still stay at a lower dose. I've had many experiences with DXM, although the most pleasant one was with Delsym cough syrup (dextromethorphan polistirex) It lasts longer and it feels more "clean". Barely hit a fourth plateau on one bottle and never puked =) I personally prefer low doses (first or second plateau), though, because it has some similarities to mdma at that level for me (and i absolutely love mdma).

(dude, that totally reminded me of this Austrailian guy that came into my work today, I was embarrassed b/c I said "what?" after everything he said b/c his accent was pretty thick and he talked really fast. it was cool though, he said "g'day mate" at the beginning and "cheers" at the end and everything, just like Crocodile Dundee.)


As for DXM, I never really liked it because 1st, it's hard to ingest (im really bad with liquid medications, and the gelcaps just filled up my stomach and made the experience awful- though I was told later by someone on this board that I should have eaten the 20 caps in intervals of 4 or 5, instead of just gulping them all down at once... bah) 2nd, once it actually does take effect, its just really fuckin weird to me, I dont get any like euphoria or giddiness, I just start hallucinating, and then I get extremely delusional. 3rd, I really hate that feeling of being a bowling ball precariously perched atop a pencil when I'm trying to walk ( I dunno, I guess I just like my balance). 4th- the time distortion, sure this can be fun, when the trip is fun, but when you're feeling super-nauseous from eating 20 gelcaps and itching all over, and hallucinating and being delusional about everything (I was talking to my tv and getting sad because the characters were talking to each other and not answering my questions) the time distortion is the worst thing in the world b/c it can stretch seconds and minutes into hours and days. and 5th, I dont like not remembering the majority of what I had done and thought about when I come down (though I get this with mushrooms and LSA too). Oh yea, the fuzzy "afterglow" the next day also gets on my nerves, though pot will help with that one.

Vicks 44 is one of the worse ones to get, b/c unlike robutussin, the vicks shit is really thick, and its also mentholated which gives it a really bad burning sensation. It will make you trip out though...

i ate 30 Robotussin coughgels which are 15 mg DXM per capsule.
Iam 6' 4" and 180 lbs. effects were minimal, i just felt a little drunk

is that not enough or am i just kinda a heavy weight

180 pounds is about 81kg. You ate 450mg DXM. Thats a little over 5.5mg per kg which is a solid 2nd plateau.
