ARMY?!?!?!?
Dude, last I heard from you you left Pier with a post saying how you were joining the USMC! Shocked the living hell out of everyone there. What the hell have you been up to man?
P.S. Ladies and gentlemen, please meet one of my political mentors. Respect.

Yeah...the enlistment process was long for me. First I needed a diploma. Took me 2 years since leaving pier to get one. In another state even. Then the diploma wasn't good enough. It was an alternative school. The USMC classifies alt schools as tier 2 schools. I don't know what that means, but I am the 1st person ever to enlist from the particular category of tier 2 schools as the one my diploma came from. Far as I know. Then my tattoo caused a ruckus. It's an AquaTeen tat my brother in law did in my living room and they couldn't decide whether to list it as 5 tats or 1 big one. Then my history of drug abuse and my mental health record were called into question. I told the recruiters I used marijuana experimentally 5 times. But I told the MEPS physician(the Dr. who decides whose healthy enough for service) 8 times. That caused me about 4 hours of grief. Waiting to see other Drs. and waiting to see the USMC Liason officer, plus 2 or 3 short interrogations to find out if I was lying. At the end of it all, on May 26, 2005, I swore into the United States Marine Corp on an open contract(which means I'm fucked on my MOS) with a listed ship date of Nov. 28, '05. So I'm in the Marines, but not quite in the Marines yet.

That's nice. My best friend is leaving for the Navy as Master of Arms this August.
