Pirates of Silicon Valley made Capn Crunch look like a
Homeless Doper who was hanging on Wozniak's Coat Tail when
in fact he knew more than Woz.He was writing RF based
Encryption Stamps in Vietnam while Woz was a Student.Of
course it is Holywood.It was still a good 3 Hour watch.

Yes Sonte its also known as takedown and is complete bullshit and completly fictional NOTHING in it is true of kevin mitncik and in my oppinion he iis a good man who was mistreated by the goverment but then again i dont take the medias view on things

I agree! how did he get the label "Super Hacker" when he was caught
on every single thing he supposedly did.I notice in his Interviews and
the Documentarys he is in, he says most of the Crimes he was blamed
for he didnt commit, but 3 minutes into the Interview he tells how he
did them, it's kinda like passivly confessing.

NOTE TO SELF:Start getting caught when getting access to Private

I hate to come down on the Guy, but damn.I know there are literally
Hundreds if not Thousands of Intellectuals who got busted and are
still doing time from over 15 Years ago(They didnt get the Coverage).

I personally am a fan of Emmanual Goldstein/Eric, but I realise he
would probly ignore me if I ever tryed to shake his Hand or Talk
to him.The thing I dont like about the Majority of "Hacking" Comm-
unitys is that in front of the Media they are Intelligent and Helpfull,
but over the Net they are Racist,Hatefull, and Ignorant.For a good
example of this go to the #2600 IRC channel or the DEFCON Forum
and try to hold a Debate; they tend to judge people on there Post
count or Popularity instead of Knowledge and Commitment.


You go to a 2600 meeting and all you see is Middle Class White
Americans trying to out do each other.


I know 'Hackers 2:Takedown' was said to be demonizing by alot of
people, but after actually talking to the Friends and People of 2600
,DEFCON, and other Communitys,I cant help but believe that the
Movie was accurate.I can actually see Mitnik calling up people and
calling them names and making fun of there Race.That part where
he called up the Engineer who helped design that Private Line Telco
Switch, and said "That obviously isnt you're work" emediatly following
that pre-sentence, kinda pissed me off cause It reminded me of
this Marketing Puke who was criticizing my work when I worked for
this Telco related Company, when I was 19.The guy couldnt even
fix his Hot water Heater, and he was trying to talk like he knew how
to replace a BUS card on a fucking Digital Switching Rack.

TO S25:Dont believe the shit you are told or read in his Books.
You should actually try to contact any of his friends or himself.He is
a smart ass.I might also add that according to the Operators of the
Systems he broke into he was useing Exploits and Techniques posted
on populer BBS's.This is also mentioned in Security related Books
written by Foreign and US authors that are respected, and been
around a while.

Hell Bruce Schneier who is one of the World leading Computer
Security Experts even says Mitnik was a Script Kitty.Mitnik's
Security Firm site has been defaced many times thus proving
he dosent know enouph to manipulate anything.
