I've been thinking about trying it out. Anyone here using it? We can send porn while talking over these http://www.skype.voipvoice.com/ phones for free.

Calling a regular phone requires payment, but it looks really fucking cheap.

I have been doing VOIP stuff in C++/Python/Perl for almost
two Years and still dont know how to Communicate with the
standard House phone which is DTMF/Analog based.I guess
those Providers have special Money privladges in the Telco's
becuase some Telco's havnt even switched over to those
Converter Switches.

They must have Payed for Live access to the Telco's Database
which is on there Network front end.

I think what will give VoIP the sudden blast-off will be Wi-MAX, the 802.16m standard. With a radius of 30 miles, independant companies will set up these networks in cities (giving wireless DSL at a very low price straight to your Wi-MAX enabled PC/laptop), and people can use VoIP through these. Then, some mobile phone company will click on to build it into their phones, and hey presto, goodbye to the ridiculously expensive mobile phone tarrifs.
