I came across a webpage the other day, and, for the life of me, I can't find it anymore. I didn't find it in my bookmarks.

Anywho, I was wondering if anybody else has come across a page concerning high-speeds and ISP upgrades, how paying for the top levels is a big ripoff because the connection speeds don't really make much of a difference. I don't know how credible or true the page is, but that's why I'm trying to find it again.

If anybody has seen this page, or has details, or has a link for another page, please post or PM! Thanks!

Paying for high-speeds is a rip-off because here ISP's always over contend the connection. My new boss is paying for 3Mb ADSL with 12:1 contention and I was getting 20k a sec today. Fucking disgraceful. Needless to say, he was already looking into new ISP's.

Yeah, it is a big scam. The page said cable and DSL were both scams, though. I really wish I could remember more, but it had to do with downloads, mainly big ones (ie movies, heh). All I remember is, "no noticeable difference".
