Great articles an' such... but I must make a recommendation. When doing a drive-by loading I recommed using a non-descript vehicle. Something common or regular in the area.
I live in the country. There's more Ford Pickup's than you can shake a stick at, but my Yellow Celica only has 3 cars of similar build in the area, an' none nearly as loud or pretty. In the city, it's not so much a problem. But it's something worth noting.

Proper spelling is crucial in being cool on the interweb.

I was just showing this Janke character that he isnt exactly the Lord
of Grammer and Vocabulary himself.
The beggining of every sentence is Capitalized.
The First letter of a Thing,Specific Person,Specific Location etc
are always Capatilised.the thing called 'Spelling' would actually be
a thing.
Interweb isnt a Thing, nor is it a Term.It is a made up thing that
is suppose to be slang for a existing Thing, that being the Internet(
Inter-Connected-Networks).
He also forgot to Capitalise "non" and put a Comma or Semicolon
after discrete.
NOTE:I dont even use correct Vocabulary or Grammer in my Writing
.I rarely even bother, inless I am writing something important.I have seen
Grammer and Vocabulary mistakes in the Writing's of Scholars before. It
isnt just "Dumb People" who dont do correct Grammer and Spelling. If you
can't understand a Post because of a few Spelling or Grammer mistakes
then chances are you are not as Intelligent as you try and come off as
being. You will most likely not be able to read other Languages, or Code
either, because it isnt always perfect.

Thats nice...
Like I said, I really dont care.If the only significant thing you can do
is publicly comment on peoples Spelling, then maybe you should put
all that Typing into something more worth while.
I could sit here and comment on you're nickname being spelled the
same as one of the many things you lack, but I dont.If we are going
to start publicly pointing out misspelled Terms and Words, then I
might as well go do some Refference Reading and flood the Boards
with comments on wrongly used Commas,Semicolons,Periods,
Exlamation Marks etc...
Im sure I could find errors in just about every Post on this Board. It
is amazing how many Docs and Posts on the Internet have bad
Spelling and Structure.I can read them though because I graduated
from Grade School, and can easly Inteprete syntax's and *garythms.
People who dont bother with "Grammar" and Vocabulary shouldnt
worry about the critics. You can go to a MIT FTP or HTTP Server
that contains Text and HTML Paragraphs by PHD Scholars from the
respected Institute and find plenty of the same errors you see here.
The people talking shit about you're spelling most likely have Grammar
Mistakes in all the Post's from the 1 Sentence ones to the 2+ Paragraph
ones.

Greenflame, how come you capitalise certain words, mid scentence?
-DD
Greenflame
24th May 2005, 07:10 PM
You Capitalise the first letter of any thing, specific place, name etc..
The Position dosent Matter, and technically "Spelling" is considerd
a Thing as you probly already know, as is "Capitalise".Im sure
they havnt changed the Writing Classes since I was in High School.
I am not a model Scholar or a Sophisticated person! I just know
what I need to know, and use Refference for the rest.If I wanted
to have perfect Writing skills I have the Books.
I love the way everyone try's to won over each other now Day's.I
have to remember I am not like the masses when I argue with the
Trendy,Conformists,Elitest's etc..
I may spell shitty on Forums but I make up for it with Knowledge
Expierence, and Skill.I dont have anything to prove! the people
that I want to know, that I know, what I say I know, know that
I know, from knowing me for atleast one Year, and they know
that Im known for actually doing the things, and not playing
get a rep in the community by spreading pre-fab Info that sucks
in the first place.
Get it? got it? I dought it!

Ah, I learned different. Only a proper noun needs capitalised, such as a person or place's name... could be different in America than Britain, there are a lot of other differences.
Stone
25th May 2005, 04:09 PM
I'm pretty sure that it's just the name of a place/person that gets capitalised too. And I'm pretty sure it's just standard english, US or not.
Greenflame, meet janke... Rorta's resident troll.
[EDIT:] I said thing instead of place by mistake...
Biovore

Indeed only proper nouns get capitalised.
"Reading", "Code", or "Day's" are not proper nouns.
but I make up for it with Knowledge
Expierence, and Skill
On what, the metric system? I surly hope not for both our sakes.

I always thought it was spelt "intarweb".
But I guess that's just a funkier variation.
It's not my vocation to be capriciously given to circumlocution, but it does come in handy when one already has an eclectic sesquipedalian lexis.
Yet when one appears to be ostensibly educated in grandiloquence, I cachinnate into asphyxia.
That, my vituperable pals, is the true importance of spelling and/or grammar.

You are overusing lexis just like you are overusing IRC TEXT FORMATTING.
