I just got myself a Nintendo DS. I have to say, Nintendo really seems to be on the cutting edge of the gaming world. There target audience tends to be slightly childish, but they make up for that with games like Zelda, Resident Evil, and Metroid. This is definitely the best handheld system out there, and the Wii is probably the best console. The only real downfall is crappy online play. I'm sure that will change down the road though.

I really want a Wii, but I have other responsibilities, and I can't see myself using it all that much right now. Plus, games cost a lot. I'll wait until the console is hacked.

I would have to disagree with your comment about DS being the best hand held. I have played it and it is very cool but I still like my PSP better. It is more versatile and the graphics are better. I don't own a DS but I couldn't see myself using it for anything other than Mario. I would like to get a Wii though.I've played the PSP, and I have to disagree. The graphics are better, but the games just aren't suited. Handhelds have been used for arcade style games for a long time, and it's always worked because of screensize. GTA just looks silly on a screen so small, not to mention the bulk of a PSP.

I've never played the Wii. So I'm talking out my ass here... In fact that last console I owned was an N64. Not much of a gamer, though I'll own any of you at the game of Chess.

I've talked to a guy at work about the Wii, and his XBOX[360]'s (which he modded himself, of course). According to him Gamecube has better graphics than the Wii. And his console of choice was XBOX360, with PS3 behind it but also depending on the game.

I don't care for graphics over gameplay.

He said, "I sold my Wii cuz it sucks."

And accoring to wiihaveproblem.com, he has a point.

If I game it's usually a board game, or on an emulator. SNES <3I have no idea where he is coming from at a graphics standpoint, because the Wii blows the Gamecube out of the water. But when it comes to his console of choice, he's probably right. The Wii games are aimmed at people who aren't really intense gamers, thus there really is no online play. When you buy a 360 you are getting some high end graphics, with a game that could tkae you days or weeks to beat, and even after that you have the challenge of Xbox Live. But with the Wii it is just pure fun factor of the classics like Smash Bros, or Zelda.
