Giving Blood

It is now Tuesday, I am to be giving some blood on friday. I have been smoking weed very regularly lately. Does anybody know if the blood donation will be a bad idea?

Not so much a bad idea, as in a totally pointless one... I seriously cannot imagine them using blood showing traces of THC, although I also can't imagine they would know which blood belongs to which person. Surely, they only record the blood type before testing.

I dont know any of this for fact, just assumption.

You know I wondered the same thing.

Turns out the day at school they took blood, I had to go home because I was tripping very hard on a substance and they took blood from me anyway cause I went to the doctor afterward.

But I think they do just throw out the blood, or use it anyway. If there is nothing that can actually hurt the recipent then they'll use it.

I was thinking about this the other day actually after my mother had asked me if I wanted to give blood again to which I replied "I like my blood where it is".

I suppose they wouldnt use it, evil free radicals? *shrugs* Perhaps it just goes straight to the govermental vampires.

I would like to donate blood, but I haven't only because I'm not sure of what they actually do with it. I mean, when they test it, do they just throw it out or keep it? If THC or another substance shows up on the tests, do they trace it back to the donor?

I dunno. This might be just something I'm actually paranoid about. But that's only because this is a rare case where I'm actually not informed on the whole process, so I'd rather be safe than sorry.

If your giving plasma dont worry, I used to volunteer at a homeless shelter where most of the people where so far gone on drugs/booze I was astounded and they still where able to give it.

From what I understand they run everything through a centerfuge type dealo and filter it for any weird toxins (such as THC).

Another thing to remember is THC is stored in the body fat and not in the bloodstream, so unless you start working out before your giving of blood you should only have threshold levels in your blood.

they still take blood, but they ship it off and dont use it. Some people give blood their entire lives and never know its being thrown away. Dont waste your time unless your clean, because even though they will take the blood and you wont get caught, it wont be used.

A lot of my friends have been donating recently, so I know that the places around here only care about opiets or blow.

I think that GBU had the right of it when he said that they won't really care about the trace amounts of THC thatll be in your bloodstream from being a regular smoker. The real problem will be if you smoke right before you donate because then there will be a shit ton of THC in your veins and the blood will almost certainly be destroyed.

Regardless, no one is going to track you down if they find THC in blood you donated. It's not like a doctor that gets a positive result off a drug test is gonna call the cops and have 'em arrest you.
