Can ritilan and stattera be cut in half? Such as using a higher dose pill cut in half?

Hmm, in my rush to be sarcastic, I missed an important point. Some pills used to keep the key ingredient in one half of the pill and everything else in the other. Members of an older generation (older than me, unfortunately) might remember the old OTC painkillers with the codeine on one side and the paracetamol on the other. Snap it in two and you've got yourself a hobby. However, I sincerely doubt that this is the case in any pill that matters to a drug forum today. If the pill (not a capsule) is of two different colours though, you might want to read the box.

Not new to drugs, just needed to know if those two could be halved without it affecting their function-i.e. some pills may have coatings and such.

Some uninformed reasoning; if the capsule makes is time release and you snap it in half, won't it dissolve faster? Because your stomach acid will have an exposed side to attack. Won't make a massive difference but the more you know...
