I write this because of how pissed off i am about a0tu.com, it is a site much like this but i have heard from kbk that you guys are not as fucking gay. I am pissed at those fags because of the way that they respond to posts. I like the idea of a flaming section because at a0tu they turn just about everything into one. There was a post there about crime so i put some little shit i have done, of course they say i need to go into seclusion and how much help i need. Why do they get pissed at me? who knows people were talking about shit just as bad and no one gets pissed but i just happen to tick them off. I remember when Bombshock owned Rorta when they were on the old Proboard site, now that was funny.

As a pretty experienced mod, this is like my 3rd year modding for someone, I have to say, just as the post doesn?t exist anywhere, doesn?t mean it wasn?t posted. a0tu is a decent site from being started from nothing... but at the same time, it's a bad idea to start a site with such an irregular URL and hopefully memberbase... This is not the first site Ive started (I know it was Stone and I, but still) but I have most experience than most, but ya always have to have most of your ideals sorted from day 1.

s25 the first post i made on a0tu was pretty bad and it was a long time ago, diff name and stuff, i can see it getting a bad rap but even other members thought that some people did over react a little bit, as for the printer thing can you please explain why that is so bad, there is no destruction or property damage so i don't think that is why people got pissed, is it for the sole reason because it wastes other people's time? and don't get me wrong, your site is better in some areas such as explosives... kbk was the first to post about AP here so they are a little behind the time, though i don't know how long it has been since this site was created. and about the flaming, i didn't say they turned it against me. there are posts were other members get yelled at and people say they should get banned, but it stops when you make a post telling them you don't like it. so don't take it as a big F-U, but i don't think i am the only one who is getting sick of some of the a0tu shit. also the part about saying you cry in the corner, that is childish, but i think some members do think they are better than every one else because they have made 10 diff kinds of explosives, or because they can hack into other sites...

FuckYou, this is not the first incarnation of Rorta, it's the third. The first is long gone, the second was lost recently. Myself and DD took it upon ourselves to create a new one. It may seem that we don't have much posts or whatever, but for the length of time this board has been up, we have recieved phenomenal growth.

Our site is not meant to mimic Bombshock or a0tu (as far as I know, Rorta has existed longer than a0tu). We are our own community, where everything can be discussed, not just underground topics. It doesn't matter how big our explosives section is, or our crime section, it's the whole of the board that matters. For the moment, we are just using phpBB as a base, but will be upgrading to vB soon and with a cms and dynamic site built around the community, the whole picture will become clear. There will be much more to offer than just a BB.

Some things too note.
I never said a0tu was better than rorta as a matter of fact rorta has been along longer and I really like rorta always have I even offered to let them use my web space to get it back up.

I do feel it was childish too whinge about it on another site if I had a problem at rorta I would contact stone or DD and ask them why it was happening.

a0tu does start flaming at times but so do most sites.A0tu has allot of members from sites were flaming is accepted but when I see it on a0tu I tell them to stop I may try and put in a new policy on this on a0tu in the future if I have to.

I get pissed off when I see stupid things well completely stupid things anyways. For instance I was blamed for a incident like that in a Intec situation now luckily it was not my fault in the end and they saw that I saw the amount of work in cleaning it up and in my head its just as bad as those h0wz to tr42!-1! The sch00lz text files.

A0tu started from nothing we have an irregular but for the most part loyal member base. I strongly believe that it could be huge some day and like you and stone DD I take an active part in it.

A democracy has laws and rules witch is something we did not have on a0tu but for the time there was no need for them as we had no problems everyone had a idea of what was acceptable and what was not also it was in the wrong section and I was not the only one who thought it was stupid I was a little too hard on him in my reply that is settled but I honestly believed it would still deserve to be locked if it was to re occur. I just changed my resolution from 1024*768 to 1280*1024 and it's amazing how much more room there is on the screen.

I did the same thing after reading Biovore's post. It's hard enough to get used to though, everything is so fucking small. I don't think I'll be keeping it.

I have to say that the beer we get from AUS is total piss water, me being a White Lightning drinker it takes a pretty appalling beer for me to say that. Lol. Nevertheless we did on one occasion have a conversation (msn) on the dreaded piss water they call Fosters (UK 4.0%, ESP 5.5%).

Anyhow, back on subject.

From reading this thread I have come to the conclusion that a shit stack of brown nosing has being going on, what I mean by that comment is that a well-liked and admired member will comment on a less important member and that less important member will right away make an apology & so forth. Yet when a lesser member comments on another lesser member all fucking hell breaks lose until the more advanced ranks step in.

I am in no way saying that one member is better than the other as I judge each person as equals on BB?s) & I?d probably brown nose in the same situation. Just not as much. :nono:

But KBK, can you really give advice on BB building with a mere seven members?

I can bet my very last drop of alcohol that had it not been for DoctaD or Biovore this thread would most certainly have finished in a giant hullabaloo.

We haven't been able to figure out how to fix it. The Ikonboard forums aren't too much help either. We're working on it.
