the mormon religion is the fastest growing religion in the world. due to the work of missionaries? or due to the fact they require all their familes to have like 9 kids. discuss.
ps. i know a kid. who is in a mormon family. with 9 kids. 1 just got back from his mission. and already has a kid on the way. and another has already had one kid and has another on the way. all the kids are under 3o. and there are already 6 kids in the new generation

I love statistics... There are two ways to grow, fastest in numbers and fastest in percentage. I can't see how the Mormons would be the fastest growing in numbers, so it must be percentage. (How do you like that logic, headcase?) If I started a religion called The Cult of the Dead Lamb, and attracted twenty mormons, I mean morons, then my religion would have grown 2000% on the first day. If I get five more people the next month, that would be nearly a 25% growth. See my point?

If you want more, just watch the South Park episode about Mormons. I don't know the name of it, but it's a great place to start, really! I have a friend who used to be a Mormon. Even though South Park is trying to be funny, they're using actual Mormon doctrine/history. Ask your Mormons friend about the planet Kolab (spelling?) [Co-lob] and about being your own god.
Prepare your ears! Ha, ha!

Mormonism isn't quite as ridiculous as South Park makes out, I was disappointed to realise when i read the Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormonism) on the matter. It is still fairly ridulous though, but I'd recommend checking both out.
Fantastic episode none the less.

I like how the episode ended. something like "i don't care if joseph smith made it all up because it helped me have a good life"
it seems to work for most of them. they might proselytize and that can be annoying but theyre almost always good people. I don't believe it for a minute, but I won't rain on their parade.
