Is that a wireless router? Just enter your WEP key into the PS3, no need for cables. It doesn't take long to get it set up online, less time than a 360. PS3 is a lot less user friendly online compared to a 360 IMO.

Cheers lads, I done it. Nah DD, it's got wires (slightly different to the one in that picture), just had to plug it into the PS3 and hey presto, got started pretty quick. Played COD4 online, pretty fucking good. Just asked for my email, name and address.

how would you guys rate the PS3 online play. i briefly spoke with someone about it and he said its not like xbox live (for xbox) cause every game has its own network. like theres no one big server as with xbox live that manages/saves stats

I've played 2 out of my 3 PS3 games online.. Tekken: Dark Ressurection and Burnout Paradise.

Burnout is good online. Everything goes through the EA servers and it's all pretty stable.. no lag or anything. There's plenty of people online so you don't get stuck with nobody to play against. Much like it would be with Xbox Live.

Tekken is less good. It operates using a peer-to-peer connection type which means there's no central server which the game is going through, it's all done by one guys PS3 (the host). If their wireless signal is crap, you get lag. If they're downloading anything on their network, you get lag...
When you've got a decent host, it's a lot of fun though however the lag is really frustrating :tapedshut
