I've always wanted to play World Of Warcraft again, but due to financial problems, I have been unable to play it. Sometime last year I looked into Private Servers, but it never got anywhere...

On Friday I got a free copy. I won't go into details but use your imagination, now I understand that most people might not be able to afford a copy of WoW, but there are Torrents.

http://thepiratebay.org/search/Warcraft%20World%20of/0/7/0

So once you have a copy you will find a file entitled Realmlist.wtf. This has the details of the server that you connect to... Set WTF Files to be opened by Notepad.

You then need to register at a Private Server.

Try Meahwow.com

Or whiterockserver.org [This is the one I play on BTW, I am SKS.]

Now on both of these servers web pages are the Realm List codes that you need to paste into the realmlist.wtf.

Now you can play on WoW, for free!

Enjoy!

By the way, there is more to add!

It's ?13 in Europe, ?9, in the UK. That is a lot to be spending Per-Month on one video game, where the level cap is only 60 [70 with 'Burning Crusade'].

I downloaded the 4gig client and 2gig update, installed them and followed the instructions on the site, only for the game to tell me to fuck off, in the nicest possible way.

Umm... the first time it was something about file corruption, so I put the original file back in place and it brought up a different compaint. Anti-Irish or something, I think.

Can't remember exactly what the error messages were.

DD, how did you install WoW?

From a disk or via a Torrent?

If it was a torrent that is why you had a file corruption...

I downloaded the client with the Blizzard downloader... took fuckin' ages.

That'd be why.

If I still had the disks I would mail them to you.
