Fucking tweakers...

Is it just me or has the US undergone a MASSIVE wave of tweak in the last few years? Back in the day me and my homeboys used to smoke rock, but now everyone's into tweak. It pisses me off too because I hate nothing more than a fucking tweaker. Is tweak getting popular all around or just here in the southern US?

Tweak is the most commonly used term for methamphetamine. AKA crystal meth, crizzie, twirl, crank, ice, glass, grit, and speed.

Speed's always been fairly popular around my area (Queensland, AUS) but I think the method of using it has changed a bit. We used to always just eat the stuff but a few people I know are now smoking it.

I was never very impressed with speeds effects. It usually just made me drink and talk faster which usually resulted in drunken bullshit spoken at lightspeed.

I haven't smoked meth yet as I'm still weighing up the pros and cons. I had a mate let things get out of hand at one stage and frankly I don't want to end up like that.

I don't know of anywhere you can get meth here, and haven't heard of anyone here smoking it... plenty of scag heads, no base heads.

crank is huge here in my area, I have to even admit I had a huge problem with it once upon a time. Its amazing to watch what happens to yourself and to everyone around you when they get on the stuff,
I remember once having a friend go from saying I was an angel to holding a gun to my head because I was a demon within 20 minutes or so *shudder*.
*Sigh* I guess like any other drug it can and will start to rule your life if you let it, and like most other drugs you wont be able to notice it is owning your life.

But anyways, Has anyone noticed the difference in how tweakers that use different methods of taking the drug act differently.
For instance people who bang and smoke the drug seem 20 times more psychotic than the ones who snort/eat it ?

I know there has to be something to this, maybe the speed of the drug taking effect within the body being faster for smokers and bangers means something.

No 'tweaking' goes on here (good 'ol eire) either. The only amphetamines you'd find here commonly are speed and ecstacy.

Arrrhg!!!!! Speed IS methamphetamine, and so is scag! And "base" is freebased crack cocaine! I think maybe the big problem with this drug and its intense addiction is that users don't even know what it is they are doing. No one else seems to.



I agree with you though gbu. I experimented with snorting it back in the day, and smoked it a few times. It was way different. Snorting just kept me energetic all through the wee drinking hours. Smoking it sent me a fucking ride. Some people also slam it, or goofball it with heroin or speedball it with coke. Slamming it tends to produce even more psychotic behaviour. It has to do with absorption rates. Just think about the different effects of smoking bud through a pyrex as opposed to eating honey oil brownies. Or drinking vodka as compared to whiskey. The same chemical content and concentration may be present, but the rate at which it is absorbed into the blood and arrives at the receptors in the brain where it will cause its effects.

coke and speed was allways fun to snort, gave me a body high even when smoking a bunch of just speed wasnt quite doing the trick.
At any rate Im glad I got away from that shit.

Actually kinda funny how I did get away from it.
I had been up for like 8-9 days or so and someone brought over the movie "Requim For a Dream"
By the end of the movie I was so scared from the movie/sleep dep I swore off the stuff.
Ive done it maybe once or twice since then, but somehow it doesnt do much anymore to me.

Heck since then Ive been pretty much a good girl except for the occaisonal drink/pill/hallucinogen. (occaisonal as in maybe once a month or so)

Hell Yeah. :twisted: When I was bouncing at this strip club in Albs, part of my job was to babysit the dancers(as well as the customers). Nearly all of them were extremely spun by the time they got to work,and some smoked in the dressing room. The club rules were that dancers couldn't leave the club for any reason without checking with a manager. This was to prevent them from walking off with the club's cut of the earnings. Well...many of these chicks are well beyond any thoughts of obeying rules. One in particular, Isis.

She is the fucking definition of a tweaker. Sometimes she'd be so spun she couldn't even talk. It was fucking hilarious most of the time. But she constantly annoyed me by coming outside and making drug deals infront of me. Bouncers can get fired for this. I would tell her to knock the shit off when I'm at the door, but she wouldn't listen. She would talk all kinda shit, to which my eternal reply was "fine...be crackhead." She usually acted real sad after that.

Used at all responsibly, amphetamines are much better drugs than coke. Coke is just straight up bad.

I remember making that argument all the time when I was a tweaker, I was wrong.
I think its hard to be able to tell on most drugs if your using them responsibly
Especially things like coke and speed.

Thats pretty much why I only drink, smoke ciggamers or take pills prescribed to me anymore.

Amen to that, I don't trust any chemicals at all these days. Cigarettes and alcohol are the way to go. Even if my damn cigs have more chemicals than the pills, it's really hard to enter a tobacco-induced coma...usually that just means you smoke four at once through three or four packs till you pass out from coughing too much....

Yes, but if you figure the average cigarette has about a milligram of nicotine, and some people smoke a pack in an hour and still live to be 70, it can't be all that toxic. Everything these days kills you or gives you cancer, I just stopped caring at this point.

But it increases the chances, and just because they live to be 70 doesn't mean that they are perfectly healthy. Imagine what they're lungs look like and the craving they have from the addiction, doe to nicotine.

man i live in kansas city kansas there are so many fucking tweakers here.

i know more people than i'd like to admit that smoke and sell meth. i try to stay away from them because they're always talking nonstop about what they think is important and they go from one subject to another and they're just upbeat about it all...untill they come down and throw a fucking hissy fit over little shit that's not important.

There aren't alot of tweakers here, but alot of cookers. At least twice a week the entire top floor of a hotel my friend works at gets rented out and every room has a "do not disturb" sign on the door. He says these guys have done it a few times, and that they have been trying to sell some outside the hotel, but no one buys it.

Well Last nigh my fiancee asked if a friend could come over. I was kinda in a grumpy mood but against my better judgement I said otay.

Well the friend shows up, WITH 5 OTHER FUCKING PEOPLE. I says to myself, "Self, wait a second, these people look like skeletons, seem really jumpy, and smell like tweakers". As a precaution as they where walking in I snagged the shotgun I keep by my door and began carrying it to our bedroom. As I did this one of the tweakers asked, "Oh My God, Is that a real gun?!?!" to which I replied only with my Ice bitch stare and continued to the room.
Well after a good 20 minutes my honey came in the room and asked if the group (which I had by then dubbed Tardcon 06) could sleep over for the night.

This did not make me happy, #1 they all looked underage and #2 well they where FUCKING TWEAKERS.
After a few minutes of ranting and raving (loudly) I said ok, but told them it was risky them being tweakers, me being paranoid and having a buncha guns.

Sos they decided to leave, but oh no, they had to be stupid some more.

As my front door was open one of them spotted some white powder on my table (I have no idea what it was) and began licking my fucking table, when I heard this was going on I rapidly reassembled the c-380 handgun I had been cleaning and racked the slide to make sure it was working, well I guess the sound of this scared the bejesus out of the tweakers, they ran the fuck out of my house as they should have in the first place.....

Im not sure, but I think one of em pissed their pants because theres a weird stain on my couch now, but Ill be damned if Im cleaning that up, thats my fiancee's job.
