ive been thinking about this for a bit of time now
basic egg timer with a type of wire or material that can complete a circuit at the zero mark so tick tick tick and a circuit is complete.....boom
but whats been racking my brain is a electronic timer
problem 1- cnt find one that dosnt make nosie when i press a button
problem 2- having problems upping the volts to set off the fulament (fryed the circuit board last time by just putting a differnt battery on it (figured that would happen but eh )
so does anyone have any ideas and where to get the materials???

Not to sound like a complete asshole, but if you can't even spell "fried" correctly, then what the hell are you doing playing around with circuits?
My advice would be to search the net for manuals or texts on the subject, of which I know there are plenty.

I agree.
I built an Egg Timer in an hour, one that didn't make a sound. You need the right parts, that's a first off.

a 555 attached to a solenoid. The solenoid triggers your main cell with a single bare contact. All this should be mounted on a single solid board and your fine.

ok you guys are a load of bull shit if you dont have anything helpful to say dont say shit at all
oh i dont want to be a bitch but instead of answering your question i want to criticize your errors(fuck head)
also wtf....... oh hey pyro i built one but im just going to say you need the right partsl(OMG how much more can the stupidity get with this guy everyone who read my post gets that already)
what the hell am i suppose to say to that ......nice job you know i want to do that
but hey while your at it go take a nice hard bite out of some fucking dicyclo-acetone peroxide
im only asking how to do it (you know a link to a white paper or something or possibly maybe you tell me what i need to up volts)
i mean OMG you guys are shit heads.......im not a fucking tard i know about google (duh).....so if you guys have actually done this anti the fuck up WOW!!!! :argue:

You must be a fucking tard if you can't use Google to find a white paper. And I wouldn't call Thor stupid... At least he can build the fucking thing, which is a lot more I can say of you.

yes but im lazy and i was hoping someone had one so i dont have to look
also i say people are tards because like i already said i asked a question and it was not an answer of any kind of help so why would you say it at all
also thor because of my lazy actions of not pressing shift every time i press i does not make me illiterate

wow, flamefests sure start quick around here.....
integrated circuits can only take so much voltage before they fry. you found this out. this is something that has to do with the chip itself, i.e. you can't do anything about it. the thing that goes *beep* however, has a certain electrical signal being sent to it. is it ac or dc? how many volts? how much current? what does the word "relay" mean in this context? what kinds of signals do they have to have going to them? how can we make the signal we have into the signal we need? maybe a week reading up on basic electronics will enable you to answer these questions.
to prove your ability to make something like this, all you really have to do is light one automotive light bulb. this is safe and perfectly legal. unnecessary risks are unnecessary.

Then prove that you can use the Shift Key. Plus spelling my name with an O as opposed to a 0 makes you illiterate as you cannot read and therefore tell the difference between an O and a 0.
And I thought K3wls used Zero's all the time...
LOL!
Follow Davey's advice. Read. Read. Read.
Also if I were you I would consult an electronics teacher!

lol th0r doesn't bitch at me when I spell his name wrong. Maybe he just has a thing for picking on newbies/idiots. I don't think i've ever spelled it right since I first typed it.
P.S. to th0r: im going to spell it right from now on because I didn't know you didn't like it that much.

It was a pointer. I'd spell his name correctly or at least make an abbreviation for it that would make some sense. Plus really I was looking for an excuse to bitch at him for calling me stupid.

I don't understand why people are so butthurt, you know people don't like to be called reterds :P
If you'd want to make a proper timed detonator around a 555 you could just use a high power fet or scr, or just go old fashioned and use a mechanical relay :) It should work.
Now that I think of it I DO have a spare ne555 somewhere in my stuffs, along with some fets and relays. I have also made some electrical initiators so I could make a test system.
Tough I'm probably too lazy to do it :tongue1:
