a simple world of warcraft question

heres an easy one im having difficulty finding the answer for, if you get into a wow account and change the password, essentially stealing the account, the original owner can simply reset the password via there e-mail address and take back the account. how can you stop that, how can you change the registered e-mail address when you get inside the account, wont they ask some sort of special question only the original owner knows? cheers

under account management there is a option "change Contact Info" click it.
Than under the Contact adress there is a option to change contact number and email click it.
Than you can change it with no secret question but the following is above the fields.

So basically the old email will get a msg saying you contact email has been changed to .......@......dotcom.

So create a false email use that first than change it again to your personal i guess.

and that even if you hack into their account and change their password, they can retake the account using the means above or even contact blizzard to get their account back. So whats the deal is a Wow scam even really possible?

Account Key or
Secret question and answer

So im asking again, if I hack someones account and manage to change the "email contact info", what good is it gonna do if they can simply use a "secret question and answer" or "account key" or even contact blizzard and retake the account?

BTW, while discussing the changing email contact info tactic, I was told that if you try to do that it will send a message to the existing email contact and ask for permission first, is this true?

Nahh wouldnt be worth the trouble, all they gotta do is use the secret question or contact blizzard direct. Also from what I read they would shut down the account while they were performing their "investigation". So youd just end up fucking your account up for a while.

The only way I can see something like this working would be if you could sell the account to someone before the owner realized it was hacked and collected the money through WU or something.
