Thats not necessarily a bad thing... if only lurking and observing the community before contributing to a board was the usual manner, there would be a lot less people banned.

I lurked around weirdpier for 3 months before my first post... ADN can tell youhow that turned out. :D I basically dominated all discussion of politics. I'd like to think that I had an influence on people there, and I think I did based on how the general mode of discussion shifted as time went on. But then again, I'm an arrogant bastard. As I'm sure you all noticed.
