Ugh. I hate beer. I can only drink beer when I'm already drunk, 'cause then I don't really taste it anymore.

Hard liquor for me.

You aren't American if you don't like beer. (not that you're american even if you do... you Irish folk.)

He said chec... even though its Czech... maybe Budweiser is made in Czechoslavokia (sp?) too?

Stone
25th May 2005, 11:55 PM
Maybe it is. Budwieser is brewed in Ireland by Guinness (really by Diagio, Guinness's parent company). Still an American beer though. IMO, can't beat European beer.

C.R. Ripshit
26th May 2005, 03:20 AM
True that Stone. American beer pretty much sucks. All I have in my mind as great beers are Guinness, Heineken, and Killians. Killian's is European right?

Stone
26th May 2005, 04:41 AM
Never heard of Killian's, but Heineken is goooooood! Although Corona Extra is fucking great, and it's Mexican isn't it?

C.R. Ripshit
26th May 2005, 05:34 AM
Yes, Corona is awesome and yes it is Mexican. The only American beer I really enjoy is Miller High Life and that's just the taste/price ratio that makes it great. 15 or less bucks for a 30 case.

I HATE BEER, although i LOVE whiskey and vodka is alright. Tequila is a tasty treat as well.

Not too sure if this is like the old forum where liquor fell under this category...if it isn't, then move it please and I'll delete my post in site suggestions.

for liquor, I break it down like this:

tequila: herradura
vodka: fr?s
rum: captain morgan's private stock
whiskey: jack
scotch: walker green or glenlivet 18 year
brandy: don pedro

beer...

beer: coal porter, guinness, shiner.

liqueurs: goldschlager, jagger, frangelico.

savor.

torcher
4th July 2005, 06:51 AM
Whiskey - Old Crow
Vodka - Level
Tequila - Chamuco
Rum - Captain Morgan's Tattoo
Scotch - Johnny Walker
Brandy - E&J

Beer - Coors Light, Southpaw

Liqueur - Southern Comfort.

C.R. Ripshit

Beer - Coors Light

HA HA..... I cant believe how many people drink light beer... makes me sad. ..........not only is it Lite.... its fucking shitty Coors. No offense to you, but DAAAAMN.

(sorry im a bit drunk right now :-))

Adrian_Faythe
4th July 2005, 12:08 PM
Vodka - Skyy
Tequila - Jose Cuervo Gold
Rum - Bacardi Superior/Captain Morgan Spiced
Absinthe - Staroplzenecky/King of Spirits GOLD
Beer - Guinness, Red Stripe

For getting-drunk purposes only. As for cocktails or mixed drinks, I'm easy to please...the list would be way too big. :)

Eulux
4th July 2005, 03:53 PM
as much as I hate comfort, torcher, good job on the listing...I've had many arguements with people about it being a liqueur...

DoctaD
5th July 2005, 04:05 PM
This is in the wrong forum, and it's a repeat topic, but Ill let it slide seein' it's you, Eulux.

Note to everyone. If you wanna talk about booze, you have a choice of two forums with a thread in each. Don't start any more unless it's relevant! What I consider relevant!!!!!

Now, let me see...

Vodka - All the same to me, usually drink Smirnoff
Brandy - Henessy
Beer - Budweiser

I don't really drink much else... if I'm in a pub I'll drink whatevers going, and if I'm already drunk I'll drink pretty much anything. This is not a good thing.

torcher
5th July 2005, 10:18 PM
yeah the SoCo bottle says that its a liquer. thats the only reason. nowhere else on the bottle does it say that its a bourban whiskey or anything like that.

noone else likes fr?s? man...I know it's somewhat new, but...it's so damn smooth. used to be a sky guy until I tried that stuff at a friend's house. grey goose rocks too, but it's a bit on the expensive side.

I discovered a few days ago where to get Corona Extra here, in Ireland!

I drank it in Canada and immediately loved it, but had never noticed it until I was walking behind a guy with a pallet of booze in work, and there it was right in the middle of the back end... Corona Extra!

Too expensive when ya can buy 500ml cans of bud for ?1 each, but still awesome.

Whiskey is Jack, easy. Vodka is whatever's around/cheap with plenty of stuff to cover the taste...I can't handle vodka taste anymore. It's pain. Rum, never actually tried. I'd like too, though. Gin...Seagram's Seven, the vomit machine. Ugh. SoCo, BTW, is the nastiest fuckin shit on earth...like whiskey mixed with cough syrup. Ugh. Jager is bad too, and it breaks your mind. They say 70 proof...more like 70 percent.

Beer...well. Coors Light is for pussies who want to support a huge corporation that's part of the religious right axis that got George W. Bush the Republican nomination. Fuck 'em, breakfast beer. I hate all light beer, actually. Fucking water. Guinness is best, I like dark stuff. I can handle MGD, Bud, and Pabst, though. If I gotta.

OK, Maybe I am highjacking this thread but I am a webmaster here at Rorta so I have the right!

Is Absolut so good... I hear a lot about it, and I know they do flavoured vodka, but is the straight stuff any better than Smirnoff, the best vodka available?

Stone
22nd July 2005, 04:31 PM
Boru Vodka is the best you can get.

DoctaD
23rd July 2005, 06:06 PM
Sorry, you're right. Boru is definitely the best vodka available... made by Guiness, which gives it major credibility from the start, it tastes smoother and it's a lot easier to drink than any other clear spirit, IMO.

Stone
26th July 2005, 11:35 AM
Quadroupled (sp?) distilled through charcoal. Irelands finest... They also make a pretty nice (but rare in pubs) whiskey called Clontarf. Boru also comes in a 'trinity' pack which is three small bottles that are shaped in a way that they sit on top of each other and look like a single bottle. Each bottle is flavoured in some way. At the moment, I can only remember the label colour (not the flavours), that is one green, one yellow, the other black (black is the standard vodka).

DoctaD
26th July 2005, 12:25 PM
Yep, it looks pretty cool... Black is normal, Orange is orange and green/yellow is citrus, if I remember correctly.

Well, when it comes to beer, i tend go go for the cheapest shit I can find, but when taste matters, I go for Corona, Ringnes or Bud. Or as I've done lately, I'll just buy a litre of liquer, like vodka or tequila. :)

Beer - Newcastle Brown Ale (Taste, Hit).
Club - ?1.85
Pub - ?2.50

Lager - Stella (Percentage, Taste, Hit).
Club - ?1.70
Pub - ?2.70

Cider - White Lightning (Percentage, Hit, Price).
1L - ?1
2L - ?2
3L - ?2.99

Spirit - Smirnoff Vodka & a dash of Lemonade or Jamican Dark Rum & two dashes of coke. (Percentage, Hit, Taste, Value).
Club - ?1.15
Pub - ?2.50

Alcopop - Waste of money in my opinion but I do like to mix them once in a blue moon with either cheap cider or lager. (Hit, Taste).
Club - ?
Pub - ?3.70

When I'm out drinking I tend to start off with a Stella & lime, move onto the Brown followed either by another five or so pints of lager/ale and then finally I'll hit the vodka/rum.

I do this basicaly to get chromotosed pretty fast and I do enjoy the different hits (mood changes) I encounter.

Remember how the Germans buying the Powerpland in the Simpsons described American beer?

I love beer, but I couldn't pick and choose. I even like American beer. Ususlly when I'm at a bar, it's a pint of ______ and a shot of jagermeister. Down the jager and bring the pint back to the lads. Come dance floor time I'm nicely hammered.

Guiness and Heineken are the only beers I can really stand. Aside from a few darker beers that taste alright. The Irish in me (all of me?) sticks to to hard liquor though. Cheap whiskey. I'm a tank though, I can drink anything.

A few of my concoctions(sp?):

The Dremmel. A more intense screwdriver. Much more intense. a 2-6 of vodka, a mickey of rum, and a mickey of whiskey. Chug it straight all night.

Tang-Ka. No water around for your tang? Don't fear! Just pour the crystals into a 2-6 of vodka, and have at it! This works with any juice crystals I guess. Blue kool-aid and whiskey is the best.

heehee.

I like Smirnoff Triple black, with a shot of tequila and gin in it ^-^

Any kind of raspberry martini WHATSOEVER. Love raspberry.

Err really any kind of warm vodka, I cant stand cold vodka unless it is in a martini. I have tried most of the vodka on the market but have yet to find one which is really good for me.

Sky, Smirnoff, Absolute, Polar, Cat, Pure Russian, etc... Any suggestions for good vodka?

Does the ganja wadi contain THC?

ComfortablyNumb
17th April 2007, 12:24 AM
Nah, it looks like the only cannabis part of it are the seeds they throw in the bottle, which, I believe, dont contain any THC, considering they are used to make cannabis oil for cooking, which is legal here in the us, meaning it has no THC.

As for absinthe being so great, I dont see whats so great about it... isn't just a 140 proof liquor that tastes like shit? I know it has the Thujone stuff in it from the wormwood tree, but I haven't heard anything about that that would make it super potent. Frankly, I'd rather just take two shots of a good tasting liquor (favorites right now are Bushmill's Black Bush, and Glenlivet 18 yr.) than 1 shot of bad-tasting liquor.

As for vodka, I dont really like it, but I guess thats because I prefer the act of drinking to being drunk, so I'd rather have something that tastes good, rather than vodka which has no taste, or, in the cheaper varieties, tastes like rubbing alcohol. Even the fruit-flavored ones dont appeal to me, because they just taste like shitty versions of whatever other flavor they're trying to replicate.

torcher
17th April 2007, 09:25 AM
