Is anyone else familiar with this? I've been reading it over, and it seems very interesting. I would like a christian's view on it, if there is a christian who has read it here.

Do you have it on your computer? I would like to read it...Sounds interesting, and I could give you an ex-christians view on it, seeing as I did learn about christianity for the better part of my life, I could probably tell you what any real christian would.

I've got the ex-christian's view, but...dunno if I have it on my computer. I have the book...but lemme look anyways. nope, but I think I know someone who does. I'll get him to email it to me if he does have it, then email it to you. it was written by judas iscariot, which makes it damn interesting.

Excellent. If you manage to get ahold of that, I'd like to give it a read.

I could have my parents read it and post what they thought, they are as christian as anyone I know.

The book can be purchased from most retailers, for instance http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0926524127

I don't really know what to make of this book. It claims that Jesus's real name was Immanuel (or Jmmanuel) and that he was one of a few highly evolved souls put into this world by the Pleiadeans (a human ET species) to promote spiritual advancement, and something about this being the precursor to the Gospel of Mathhew, the 'true' teachings of Jmmanuel as opposed to the filtered ones. It apparently does not have the ambiguities and inconistancies of the GoM?

edit: I have also heard that this work also effectively writes off every western religion as a farce as well :D .

I would be EXTREMELY intrested int reading this text. Especialy since Judas is a more or less made-up character based on pre-existing mythologies from the region and time period of the Gospels. Just like Jesus himself is adapted from sun mythologies.

zbot pretty much nailed it...but I picked up three copies of the book for under 20 bucks...ebay is a wonderful thing.

Okay... I have read through the intros and about to chapter 3. My take on it is: Who the fuck is this guy? Are his claims about the location of the scroll credible? How is this any different from the fucking Mormons and John Smith's fucking golden tablets?

Eulux

credible enough for me...I tend to believe his story, and his other claims. I have a documentary about him...

Bah...

It seems like more made up crap to me. Just like the rest of religion.

I entertain all notions as I cannot prove anything...

Yah but I sure as hell can't credit peoples beliefs just cause they wrote a book. Im with Armalite on that one...

How big is this book? Amazon wants $40 bucks for it. Hey look at this talking about the original translator of the scrolls "The complete translations will never be available, because Isa Rashid was murdered before he could complete them." That's the more interesting story right there... who killed him and why.

An old mate was saying something about some of the statements in this book about a year ago. I heard him speaking as if he'd just been enlightened, and I remember thinking- 'mate, you've been brainwashed by a load of 1st century AD sensationalist garbage!
I'd be interested to know where and who authored the texts nonetheless.
