ok, so i decided that since ive got some left over uncooked chicken from a previous meal i would fry what i had left.
here's the recipe i made for it. very simple, very tasty
Ingredients
3 Wings
1 Leg
1 Thigh
(this chicken may have been deformed lol)
1 cup all purpose flour
1tbsp black pepper
2tsp salt
1tsp Celery salt
3/4 cup cooking oil
Hardware
1 - 12inch stainless steel skillet and lid
1 set of tongs
some sort of time keeping device
mix the flour, pepper, salt and celery salt in a bowl.
rinse chicken pieces under cold water, pat dry with paper towels
heat the skillet on medium-high heat until oil is hot(if your oil begins to smoke turn the heat down.)
once the oil is up to temperature, begin dredging the chicken in the flour mixture
be sure to coat all sides and crevices of the chicken
place each piece of chicken into the skillet and lightly brown all over.
once browned, turn your heat to Medium Low and place the lid securely over the pan
set your timer for 25 minutes
at about 5 minute intervals flip all the pieces of chicken
after 25 mins turn the heat back up to medium high, and fry until a deep golden brown.
if your nervous about cooking chicken and have a meat thermometer you can always check the internal temperature of the leg and if it is at 180 degrees F it is safe to eat.
another way to check the doneness of your chicken is to put it on a plate and if the juices run out clear then it is safe to eat.
anyway, hope you enjoy it.
