So, what is your favorite type of food? Chinese? Thai? Italian? Greek? Mediterranean? Southern?
Before venturing into Europe, I loved Italian, Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern. Then I realized that Italian food is really American food with Italian sauces, and that most American food ordered in Italy sucks! (ie pizza)
I love spicy foods, so I eat anything Mediterranean or Middle-Eastern or Indian. Greek is good too. I love chicken wrapped in pita or pain, cooked over an open grill with or without, with veggies cold or grilled, mixed with sauces and spices. Adding some French fries is good kick too. I like to mix it up, so I change spices and seasonings. Best of all, ordering on the street is cheap!
Denmark has a lot of Turkish stands where they sell kebabs with garlic, pesto and chili sauce. Mmm!
Nothing beats a good rice pilaf either. Definitely my favorite side dish of the grain family.
I ask again, what's your favorite regional dish?

Very fresh and well prepared Sushi or even sashimi.
Its very hard to fine extremely good sushi in the us it seems. Even right next to the coast!
I gotta admit though, these neo-Japanese-American sushi rolls sometimes are delicious, even if the ingredients are a little older.

No I haven't but I would really dig that. To be honest I was thinking too simple minded, I was only thinking about the east coast when I said that :thinkerg: der der der on me.

Yeah, down here in Orange County CA there's a lot of great sushi places (we do have a very high japanese population in my area, so that may be why) but sushi isn't my favorite japanese food, I think I prefer Yakitori (grilled items, usually served on a stick).
I love chinese food, Last week I was up in China Town in San Francisco and had some absolutely divine Peking Duck.... *drool*
Antoher big favorite of mine is Churrascaria (Brazilian Barbecue). Most of these restaurants are all-you-can-eat, but dont let that put you off- the quality is excellent- they essentially bring around to your table big skewers of meat and cut them off for you right there, everything from duck, quail and chicken to Ribeye steek, Top Sirloin and Skirt Steak. mmmm. Though it does generally run from about $35-50 per person (just dont eat for like a day befoer oyu go :-) - thats what im doing, Im going tomorrow for V-Day... must.... starve self (without shrinkinf my stomach somehow...)
There are many other kinds iof food I love.... but im too lazy at the moment.

A cheap kebab with the special hotbite sauce (mayonaise & ketchup I think) after a vodka binge suits me. Can't eat them sober though.
Hot & spicy chicken wings from the top chippy are also nice, said chippy however was recently shut down because of rats .
Can't beat chips & curry sauce. Kindaloo is also a munchy of mine.
