You'd have to get some good feedback before people would risk buying expensive stuff from you.

maybe sell some cheap amazon gift cards to gain some feedback. Sell like 100$ amazon gift cards for 90-95$. You'll lose some money at first, but if you have enough feedback, sell some expencive part like Intel extreme processors that go for over 1k$ and earn it all back + profit.

You shouldn't get caught if you don't use anything that can connect the scam with you.

No, you can't send to WU. You can only request a check or send the money to your bank account.

I suggest:

Confirming a drop address on PayPal using a prepaid card.
Buy a gift card online using the PayPal money and have it sent to the drop.
Pick up the GC from drop location.
Sell GC using your real PayPal/eBay acct so you don't have to worry about getting traced.

You will lose some money depending on which GC you buy and how much it's worth.

There's always an issue of MAC Addresses...

Also you are transferring the money into an account with your name written all over it.

Untraceable my ass. If this thread gets any stupider I'll have no problem moving it to the FL.

when the money goes into the fake paypal account, i will just buy something of ebay, and the money will go into a real ebay account.

and i will be changing the MAC adress.

zapple-s way is IMO the best here.

Also.. MAC addresses can be changed or masked. I read about it somewhere.

Why not buy what you want with the stolen funds? Just use a drop.

A drop is an adress which doesn't belong to you, which you can use to order things to. Paininvamuthafuckinass's thread on Carding has a bit of info on them.

I don't think you have any understanding of how to even begin an eBay/PayPal scam without a walk-through. Sorry dude but I'm done helping...

Alright, here's what i'd do if I didn't want to get caught:

1. Set up your fake PayPal account. Your best bet is to find an unsecured wireless connection somewhere. Although these are getting rarer, at least where I live, you should be able to find one if you're dedicated enough.

If you know what you're doing there are many well known ways around wireless security, but Google is your friend for that.

Th0r mentioned MAC addresses. A MAC address is a quasi-unique identifer for your network adapter. Unlike an IP address, it is not possible to discover who owned a specific MAC address without having the actual computer to match it to, meaning your pretty safe unless you become a suspect in any investigation, or if you continue to commit more crimes in the area using the same PC, or more specifically; NIC.
It's ultimately up to you whether or not you take precautions to disguise your MAC address. There's always the option of spoofing, but if you're really paranoid go out and buy a new Wireless Card or one of those USB adapters. I know that over here in the UK that they're pretty cheap.

If you're intending to make more than a few hundred, you'll need to get your PayPal account verified. There are ways to complete the verification process without linking it to your bank account. Go do some research.

2. Set up your fake eBay account. Do this using the same hotspot as above. This should be a fairly simple process, just input some fake details as necessary (Make sure that they are valid names and addresses (Telephone directories are your friend here).

The trick now is to get some good feedback. As was suggested, a good way to do this is sell gift cards at just a little (~5%) of there actual value. Although you're making a loss here, it's minimal compared to the possible profits that could be gained. Say you sell 10 $100 gift cards at $95 each, you're only losing $50. The one downside of this however is that the more scam savvy may decide to check your records. As the gift card method is fairly well known, it's not difficult for people in the know to spot certain types of scammer.

Alternatively you could hack/buy eBay accounts. This would depend on your ability or connections, respectively.

3. (Hopefully) you've got everything in place that you need to run your scam. I'm not going to tell you how to do this as there are a multitude of tutorials, threads, guides, and all sorts out there with this information in them.

4. Getting your money. At this stage i'm going to assume that you've got the money in the PayPal account. Now, at this stage, the last thing you want to do is send it to your own bank account.

The idea here is to get your money out via buying a product, having it mailed to an address other than your own, and re-selling it, thus 'laundering' the money.

The best method for this is to set up an account on eBay or craigslist and buy gift cards for popular stores. Make sure you have this mailed to your drop location.

There are other threads laying around detailing this sort of information - many of the carding threads discuss this. Read up.

With the cards you can either re-sell them using your own legitimate account, or go shopping in the respective stores. Either way you SHOULD be safe.

Hope this has helped. If i've overlooked anything feel free to correct me.

Sadly ebay helps scammers(I'm a seller), you can just bid on something , buy it then claim it never showed up if the guy doesn't have all his shit right (confirmed addy, tracking, etc), then tell paypal it never came and they give you , your money back.

Plenty of tools out there to change your PCs MAC addy on the fly - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address

I remember a good scam for finding abandoned ebay accounts was to search ebay for high feedback accounts that were registered to an AOL email addy. Then check that AOL email was good or not. Old AOL accounts can be re-registered, so you are now its owner. Then request the ebay accounts password thru their "lost password" feature. Thats one old-fashioned way to get an ebay acct thats both well-aged and potentially has high-feedback.

Most email services will "retire" an abandoned or unused acct. AOL will take it out of circulation for only a short while before putting it back out there. Ebay accts don't seem to ever expire. But I'm sure there's plenty of other email services that allow expired or abandoned names to be re-regged. Its just a matter of matching such an email address to an ebay account.

Heh,I gotta feeling this kid's been around the block once or twice.

Clever trick, I like it.

How I did it (not nearly as good, yours stand's up to inspection) was to buy feedback for like .01, those feedback for sale's running under the guise of being an ebook to teach you how to get high feedback. This was a while ago though so it might not work, fleabay has gotten more and more greedy, even at the time I couldn't see how the guy could afford to sell something for .01 since ebay wants their cut.

Nice one though, it's hoard-able :)

What about the scam where you just send them a vcr and claim it is a ps3. Because you have tracking information and both will be the same weight won't paypal side with you? And if this does work could I just use my own account.

I don't know but I would guess you would be safe as long as the guy didn't tell the ups guy to wait and open it in front of him, which I would think is a slim chance.

That's actually a pretty good idea. But I don't think you could pull it off for any length of time. Might be good to flip 20 bucks into 300 or so right quick though. Might be worth looking into.

Paypal is notorious for not siding with you, and locking accounts for little reason. I'd suggest if fraud is your intent use something other than Paypal, either take checks or money orders or western union. If you do go Paypal, you have a short window of opportunity before they lock your account once they start getting fraud complaints.

Netbank was ideal, back when they were around. You could have a check or money order sent to their mailing address and deposited to your account, then you just simply withdrew money thru the ATM, all done 100% anonymous. Most fraudsters have a hard time taking a check or money order because you can't cash it against your own account and check-cashing stores won't touch them. So what it comes down to is you need a bank account not in your name, to cash checks/money orders or to verify a paypal account. If you had a perfect fake ID you can get a bank account. Otherwise work on getting a verified paypal account off a vendor on some of those other boards, or use the trick outlined above to try and get someone else's pp account registered to an expired email addy. You might get lucky and find an ebay and pp account belonging to the same dead email acct.

Right now its easier to rip off sellers than it is to rip of buyers.
