Well Although Obama is a very powerful and influential speaker of the African American Community, i believe that there is all too much hype on him being BLACK. just because someone is of a race persecuted for hundreds of years, and has risen above the prejudices faced against him does in no way mean he will be a good president. Lets take a look at everything hes done while in the senate.

-----Obama becomes senator

----Obama goes on political campaign to run for presidency

-----Obama becomes president

Although you may want to admire how much he accomplished FOR HIMSELF in such a little span of time, has he really done anything as of yet or his couple years in the senate to help "the people" He claims that he listens to them, and they have a voice, but do they really? the best government is one with an illusion of democracy, make the people feel they have some resemblance of power and they will remain happy. Back to the "black part" of it all, im sure every person knows more than just a few people who voted for obama but have no clue what his views on different issues are.

I wont say that he wont be a good president, he may turn out to be a great one as i feel we need change in our country, but the opposite may also be true. bush tried his best to "defend national security" and although you may despise him for sending troops to iraq, he felt that it would be the only way to ensure that thousands are not killed by terrorists every again. what would have happened if they did find WOMD? he would be known as a "hero" instead of a president leading our country into a rut. Only time will tell what kind of a president obama will become.

oh ya, the poem was shit.

i think its probably safe to say that well over 70% of the obama supporters and voters didnt know much about the issues, and voted solely on color and the fact that he's not Republican.

Ain't that the truth! Goodbye, free market economy! Nice knowing you! Goodbye, FEMA money! I know you were used well in paying for the inauguration.

As .VX said, time will tell, although I doubt he will live up to the expectations of the many people placing their faith in him to sort out the Worlds problems.

People should atleast give him a chance to do something before jumping to conclusions.

Definitely true, so only time will tell if he will be a president to remember.

Just because the majority of black people didn't vote for him, it doesn't mean that the majority of people who did vote for him aren't black.
