How about starting a Legal Help forum, or a subforum under NN Economics? I've noticed that a fair share of our members seem to require some sort of legal advice at one point or another. I'm currently a pre-law student and, while certainly no lawyer at this point and time, I am confident that I may be able to assist the members on this forum that need such advice. And once I get into/ graduate from Law School I would be more than happy to help any of our members in need, assuming I can take time out of the 80 hour workweek to check the forum, lol.

That's just American law though?

mmmm, mostly, however many principles of American Law derive from British Common Law, which would also apply to the Australian legal system. Most western nations have similar legal systems, however, before giving advice to those in the Uk, Ireland, Australia etc. I would look up the specific differences in our respective legal systems. British Common Law set many of the precedents still used today, and would apply in both the UK and in Australia, assuming they haven't yet been overturned. Looking up these specific differences would actually be good practice for myself, though I must add a disclaimer that if any of our members get an attorney, they must certainly follow their advice before mine.

I've got a lot of knowledge in British law as well as knowledge in common sense and basic US law! I'd be happy to contribute, I've actually been drawing up a thread that could be of use.
