View Full Version : Conclusion Of Reality
Twist

Reality is a very confusing concept. If reality was defined as something that only works one way, then there would not be people who hate life, and those who love it and everything in between. I am sure you have heard the term perception is reality or reality is perception, this makes perfect sense in mental reality. It does not consider the laws of nature. If reality was perception then everybody who truly believed they could fly would be flying yet, it always turns out that those who try drop like a rock. I have come to the conclusion that reality is a co-existance of mind, spirit, and the laws of nature. Think of it like a tripod, if they don't all work together, the object it is supporting falls off the structure. Now metaphorically replace one of the tripods leg with the laws of nature, and the object the tripod is supporting is your existance. If that leg was missing then you would do something that would end up harming yourself or resulting in death. If the tripod was missing mind then you would go insane, if the tripod was missing spirit then you would have nothing to live for. Reality is also facing the fact that the only way to make a positive change in your life is to shift the direction of each of the legs, it is human nature to try to find something to depend on, something to believe. This is why religion has been as effective as it has on humanity, it provides an easy way out for mind and spirit so one does not need to figure it out for themselves. I have figured it out, and the truth I have discovered is that the meaning of life itself is nothing but the by-product of previous happenings and what one chooses to believe. We don't know what is after death, and I choose not to waste my lifetime trying to figure it out as there are to many things to contradict the possible truth everytime I accept a new religion or outlook. I will accept what I do know, and what works in the world we are in until such time as I am deceased. I live to learn, and not to lie to myself. I refuse to believe in anything other then the immediate occurances in which a logical result is fabricated. Thus, I am still searching and will be until I have no conscience bound to my soul to continue this philosophical journey.

On the whole i agree with your outlook on life.
Reality is ofcourse not plastic but the way you view it can be if you so choose. So change your perspective change your reality. I beleive that a persons perception can influence their reality a great deal. Granted. you won't be defying the laws of Phyisics anytime soon though.
There is also a certain camp that claim that you can change your reality just with changing the way you think. They back up their claims with Quantaum Phyichics but i beleive these theories have been far exagerated so that they can be commericalised and made into profit. Not saying they aren't true to some extent though. EG this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_the_Bleep_Do_We_Know!%3F)

We are all absolute conscioussness. That conscioussness is that of subjective self-experience on all possible levels. Nothing is 'real' or 'unreal', because there is no degree of being.
zero existence

I've never really thought about our reality as a tripod with different legs. But I can personally relate to natural laws, which I believe, make up much of our reality and existence. I watched a young person very close to me die of cancer. No matter how much he planned for the future and wholeheartedly believed it was going to be behind him and that he would be healed, and free of sickness, it didn't happen.
I went in a strong depression over this, getting very sick, and skinny. Mal-nutritioned to the point where somedays I barely had energy to get out of bed and walk up the stairs. My hair was falling out, and my teeth always hurt, etc etc.
Later, on physiological level (neuro-transmitters, hormones, digestion, etc.) I felt nothing, no personal connection with people, no love, no desire for sex, not even arousal. For a while I became dead inside. Even though I tried to connect with people and change that. My conscious and wishes were overruled by my physical condition. Working out and eating zero processed food and balanced meals, have set me back on course. We're truely physcal beings, stuck in a physical world. We are what we eat and exercise, etc. period. You can see how it shapes everyone's world view, motivation, energy, happiness, life-drive, etc. Think you control everything in your life with just your thoughts? Let's stop your brain from producing acetylcholine or dopamine or serotonin, and see how much love you have, or how happy you are, or how well you sleep. It's really quite astounding.
Seeing how everyone treats themselves though eating and physical habits. No wonder people are pissed off and angry and unhappy. Anyone notice large changes with exercise or eating certain types of foods, etc and how it shifted their consciousness, mood and thoughts?

it does take a while, from what i understand.

Read Synchronicity by carl yung. Read Liber Kaos by Peter J. Carrol. read, 'the holographic universe'. (note that i am not yet finished researching the bibliography and references yet to see whether or not it is fantastic bullshit, never the less, many fascinating ideas that may change how you perceive reality.) for example, the book says that a study was done with a device that produces random numbers by counting how many radioactive particles hit one side of a box and how many hit another side when a little bit of radium or something was placed in it. so many millions of coin tosses at once, you might say; it's always almost exactly even. they had random subjects pray, wish for, concentrate on, meditate on, whatever, trying to get the proportion to change. apparently, there were frequently regularly recorded alterations in the readings of as much as 25% when volunteers attempted to change the course of events with their mind.they could even determine who was doing it, as each different person got different results. which would imply a whole hell of a lot; possibly even that the shamanic idea of reality being nothing but a massively multiplayer dreamscape is correct and the scientists idea of a lot of little cannonballs and energy being useful but ultimately only an analogy.
Quantum physics research may indicate that there exists a non-local, meaning, not bound by relative location, causal medium, meaning 'why shit happens.' if there is at some point in the structure of a living creature, or perhaps inanimate things as well, or perhaps only humans, a point of contact with this non-local medium which can be referred to as the aether, then ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, in the most literal interpretation of that statement.

oh yes, most definitely.
