Let's cut to the chase. I'm fat. I no longer wish to be fat. I ,however, don't posses the willpower to stop eating shit. There was this guy at my school who was in a similar situation to my self, and his plan was basically: Stop eating shit and do 1000 pushups a day. This didn't work out too well for him, as even though he lost the weight, h still had a shitload of excess skin left. Now the leftover skin was turn-off enough, but i don't think I'd have the gall for any rigorous exercise. Any advice?

Will power is everything. You don't have to stop eating just substitute the garbage you eat with semi healthy foods or just eat grilled chicken and rice for a couple weeks. Stop drinking soda and walk everywhere, no more rides from your mom. If your overweight its hard to do push ups so people get discourage. Do knee push ups but 3 times as many. After you drop some weight do light weight lifting with high reps to tone your body. Don't go 2-4 weeks and stop. Everyone hits a plateau when dieting don't let that stop you.
In life in order to gain something you must eliminate somthing you work to gain money but lose free time. You don't see friends as much when you have a girlfriend. You don't eat awesome food when you diet.

Doing 1000 Push Ups a day is a completely ridiculous way of losing weight. You need Cardio. Like running. Then muscle building, because Muscle uses up more calories than fat it translates into a faster metabolism.
I've heard that losing weight is 70% diet and 30% Excercise. You need to adust your diet. If you lose more calories than you take in, you lose weight. See?
Cut out junk food and soda from your diet as much as possible.

I believe in the 70% diet and 30% exercise.
Im 5'10-5'11 and 160lbs. I'm trying to lose weight and gain a bit of muscle because I'm going to be doing some really hard work in the summer. I'm doing mostly free-weights and 2-6km runs two or three times per week.

It's Jerry Seinfields Productivity secret. He used it to keep himself writing everday consitently but you could just as easily do the same thing except for excercising/working out and or diet.

If you don't want to be fat then it requires a combination of not eating crap and exercise. If you only put one in you can't expect to lose a sufficient amount of weight. I cut all the crap I used to eat out of what I was eating for a whole month. I really tried to get healthier and lose weight but it didn't work out. I lost hardly any weight whatsoever. I can tell you unless you stop eating food which makes you put on weight and exercise regularly every day is the only way you'll sufficiently lose weight.
Break down what you eat into categories. Junk Food, food with empty Calories, essential foods Etc. Also look at buying 'Weight Watchers' and similar brand diet foods. They may be expensive but they contain Fructose, which is similar to Glucose [Sugar, if you didn't know.] in the sense it contains just as much energy as Glucose but it's much sweeter. Thus less of it is required to make the food sweet.

Just eat what your eating now only half. Best diet in the world. You need to walk/jog/run to loose the weight as this is key. How many mom's have gone on diets only to break them after 1 month and rebound back and put on more weight. You need something stable and thats why I tell you to eat what your eating now just half. Its easy to stick to. Jog or some type or exersise that will work your heart and lungs is key to loosing weight and getting fit. Just because you are thin does not make you healthy. If all that sounds like to much hard work and you have the will power of a retard you could take clenburterol, but this has some very nasty side affects. Take 2 days on 2 days off. Good luck in your fat attack.

Do you have a friend who wants to lose some weight. Its a lot easier to lose weight when you have a friend who is fighting the temptation with you. Every week on Sunday reward your self with something. For example on Saturday nights i put a pot of yogurt in the freezer. Then eat it on Sunday. It has the same consistency of ice-cream but is better for you. (Treats don’t have to be food though. They could clothes, shoes, a day trip ect.) Also be careful of your alcohol intake as that is a lot of extra calories that you don’t realise. Gentle exercise is good to start with as well and you can eventually build up to more.
Failing that sex is always a good calorie build up :D ;)

Rewarding yourself has a habit of going pear shaped. Some bitch my mother worked with was about 20 Stone and every time she lost a few pounds she'd go on a binge and pile the fat back on again.

Yea. A lot of people get carried away which is why it should be gentle, light rewards if its food or something really exciting like a day trip or fishing. Something yuo should look forward to. And everytime you drop a dress size go bigger on the reward for example every sunday as a treat go fishing but everytime you drop a dress size go to a roller coaster pask.

Change your diet so it consists of nothing but a couple apples, some coffee, and cigarettes for every day. That's how Christian Bale lost so much weight for The Machinist.
In all seriousness though, the 1000 pushups a day idea is ridiculous. 100 is a more realistic goal. Eat less and exercise more. It sounds simple (and it is); the hardest part is the execution. What I'd do is cut down your calories and eat less carbs. Substitute the lower amount of carbs with protein and do some weight training. A lot of people plan to "lose the weight and then get big," but you need to do weights AND cardio. Gaining muscle mass will up your metabolism and facilitate the process of losing weight.
As far as cardio goes, it's up to you. Personally, I hate running out in the street because I don't have the discipline for it. I prefer to use an elliptical at the gym, as you can't stop as easily and it forces you to keep going. Also, you sweat more indoors.
Couple your weight training/cardio with eating less crap and you should start to see results. A lot of it could just be the cards you're dealt, too. How old are you? Still growing? Many people grow taller and slim out a fair deal (I was prime example of this). Just don't blame genetics until you've exhausted all methods. Make a workout regiment and don't deviate from it. On days that you slip up, 'punish' yourself with an extra mile or something.

A friend of mine had to loose wieght in the Navy and he'd just eat pears, gronolas, and have orange juice to drink. He lost a lot of weight but was muscular to begin with so he was a lot weaker.

@Ico
I'm going on 16 at the moment, but my growth has slowed quite a bit. Height-wise, that is.

That must take so much will power.
