I need something to occupy my time. My question to Rortians: What the fuck do I need to do to get you to come into the chat? Some things that I've thought of:
Running an FSERVE with ebooks and other such goodies for you to download
Scheduling chats with members of the site who have expertise on certain subjects to discuss with others that would like real-time specific discussion on one thing
If any mods are looking to establish any kind of a system to weed out stupid users (i.e. an entrance essay), we could use it to interview potential new members before activating accounts (not sure if that is something that anyone has wanted to do).

Looking for suggestions, and NEED feedback, so I made it easy on you, just use the poll and leave any comments as a reply or PM me. Thanks.

the IRC worked for a short time. maybe im the only one who thinks so, but this is a forum. its going to take a short while for a response.

im all for a good chat session with other members. but i feel it will lead to bullshit conversation. and not what Rorta is about.

fuck it, give it a shot.

maybe if a section could be set up for bullshit talk and then other sections for on topic shit, it could cut back on what torch's talkin about at least...

Good idea. but regardless there will be trolls and other "assholes". Is there any way these things can be moderated or all the members can collectively have some sort of voting mechianism to boot unwanted trolls?
