So we have active "What are you listening to?" and movie related threads, so here's one for games. I know a lot of us play games, but this forum doesn't seem to get much action as of late.

ATM I'm playing Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood on the 360. Pretty cool story mode, could complete it in a week twice through and get the majority of achievements, if you're willing to spend the time. The XBL multiplayer is OK, kinda fun but not worth buying the game for. A good rental.

I started playing Mega Man 3 (I think) for the DS yesterday, played for an hour or two and died... and I hadn't saved. That has kinda put me off for a while.

Dead space. Ready to give up. There are too many suspenseful shocking moments for it to be enjoyable alone. With friends its good but I don't see why anyone would play a single player story mode with friends around.

Its an awesome game its hard the first time around but after you play once its easy to grasp all the movements. I love the game on hardcore difficulty its so much better of game without the map to use to see where the NPCs are .I was gonna buy Manhunt two but I found out they blur the little kill videos where the main character does something different depending on how long you hold the button; so I didn't buy it.

Agreed, Mount&Blade is a great game. A few years ago I downloaded the demo from Filefront not expecting much and man was I surprised. I immediately bought the full version for $15 and haven't regretted it at all. Native is fun for a while but the modding community really makes the game shine.

I recently reinstalled Assassins Creed and have been playing that again. The story makes a lot more sense playing through it a second time. Taking the time to explore in between missions really fills in the blanks.

Have to agree with Crysis 2, it is incredible. Online multiplayer isn't a strong point for it, so I dont think it'll be a keeper, but I'm about halfway through the single player campaign and it's one of the best games Ive played on the 360.

Yeah, I got tired of Eve a while back. Eve is one of the greatest games ever but it is sort of brutally realistic in a way-- very different from the way WOW is. The realism is the thing that I like about Eve but it also makes it seem rather like a job, and after playing it since 2003 on and off I got to the end of most of what the game has to offer. A lot of the endgame in Eve is really quite tedious and requires far too much time.

That said, it did keep my interest for years and should definitely be experienced by anyone interested in that sort of thing.

I usually hate RPGs because they often don't allow free-movement fighting, etc.

Can anyone recommend other RPGs thatare similar, but also a little less PG, but have the same amount of battling, etc.

I've also been playing COD, but I'm definitely not looking for a replacement for that.

MWII has the best campaign, whereas best MP has to go to Black Ops. Saying that though, a lot of people still think MWII's MP owns the shit out of Black Ops.

I only play MP with COD, so I can't really comment on the campaign, but I would say that Black Ops kind of eliminates sniping, by lessening their effectiveness and making the maps very segmented so that long distances can rarely be seen.

I think they should start to get a little more creative with newer versions. I'm sure they'll eventually come out with some sort of Bin Laden related backstory that will effect the theme of the MP. They need to lessen the amount of attachments and focus on the quality of the attachments. Also, the maps need to be a little bit larger.

I am still partial to the most recent WW2 COD, the exact name escapes me, but I loved the guns and thought the controls and maps were great.

Agreed. I played the first one only MP on a computer intranet connection at colllege. We used to play against other floors in the building, it got prettty complex. Great game, but overall World At War was my favorite MP and is probably my favorite MP of all time.

Mike Tyson's Punch Out and Kirby's Adventure (Nintendo not Gameboy) are still technically the best games ever made.

Been playing Crysis 2 as of late, the campain was pretty good. I liked the story, and the atmosphere.

Multiplayer, holy shit I had to put down the controller and strategize for a good 10 minutes before I played again. Hard to handle when you have people jumping out of the sky and decloaking right in front of you. Good for people who are tired of the same old COD MP, since it gives you more to think about. I especially liked the suit enhancements that came with ranks, like being able to see enemy footprints, highlighting enemies through the scope, hologram decoys.

Been playing it on PS3, finally got the hang of it. Only thing I don't like is that once you get out of recruit matches, they put you in with the big boys. The only problem is that the big boys are overpowered, they can literally jump around the entire map while fully armored killing people with 3 bullets from a fully automatic gun.

I played the Battlefield 3 beta demo last night. I'm actually surprised I got to play, sometime yesterday the entire server crashed and was down for 6 and half hours. So far, I'm not too impressed with the gameplay; too many bugs, but its still a beta so I have be lenient and wait the entire game to release. It kinda sucked that only the Rush gameplay was released, I would have been more psyched for Squad DM. I still may end up buying MW3.

I got BFBC3 on release day, hardly got any time to play before MW3 came out. I've lent BFBC3 to a friend now, so focusing on MW3. Both epic games.
I want to get Skyrim next. Just don’t have the time to play anymore.

My friends who play games and when I say play they PLAY spend every free minute playing. I have a friend who's about to go pro on LoL and his brothers are insanely good at COD - When I say good I mean flawless with 50 kills.

I'm not going to buy BF until I get a PC good enough. I really wasn't impressed with it on Xbox and even with HDMI it just doesn't look good. Multiplayer is good for sure, but you have to be good to succeed. It's not like CoD where being average means you aren't bad.

I won't buy MW3 before I complete MW2. I've pretty much completed Blops multiplayer too.

Skyrim is pretty goddamn insane. What really amazes me about it is that it runs better than Oblivion on my older PC and card. Also some fun gameplay in there.

I've been playing BF3 lately, (I got lucky and picked up a Limited Edition copy at a Buy, Sell, Trade store for $40 bucks.) so far I'm just a Rank 14. Honestly I like BFBC2 better. Too many campers and dumbass team mates. The campaign is awesome IMO. I've already collected all of the campaign achievements as well so now I got to work on the online achievements. I don't really care for the co-op missions, I'm just playing them to unlock the online weapons.

I got Skyrim for xmas. Only had time to play for about an hour so far. I've got a feeling it's gonna require some proper dedication. Not the sort of game that you can blast through!
I also got Forza 4 and F1 2011.

Got a new Xbox I'm modding up for £30. Bought MW3, Assassins Creed, some Forza games, Goldeneye Reloaded and Red Dead Redemption. Think I bought a few more but I'll have to check my Raptr account :P

I gave up playing FPS for a while, apparently I rage too much while playing them. BF3 is a real disappointment IMO, the lack of hit detection is really frustrating. I think its insane that I can run at someone with a shotgun fire at their face and chest less than 10 ft. away (estimate) and the other player barely take any damage. :headache: and there's a few things I wish DICE would patch like the USAS-12 with frag rounds, WAAAY overpowered!!! Other than that I've been playing Skyrim, I've reached Lvl 19 and rapidly approaching 20! Even though I've slayed several dragons I doubt think I've scratched the surface on the gameplay yet.
