RULES FOR SCAMS & CRIME
All posts regarding activities that may be deemed illegal must be kept theoretical. In other words, do not use personal pronouns or personal possessive adjectives: no using I, my, our, we, etc. Keep in mind that RORTA is not responsible for the material you post. As forums are live content, we cannot regulate and monitor every posting. That being said, incriminate yourself at your own risk.
Do not post information that has already been posted. Use the search feature ( http://rorta.net/forum/search.php ) to check if pertinent content has been discussed before. If it has, and you still have a question or new information to contribute, feel free to revive the old thread. If you have a question, use search engines like www.google.com or/and www.alltheweb.com. If you did not find what you were looking for via search engines, say so in your post.
Respect other members. Any disrespectful conduct towards other members will not be tolerated. There will be no name calling or flaming of any sort. We are all on the same team; constructive criticism is acceptable, that is pointing out flaws in an idea in a respectful matter.
No personal information. Do not post personal information: phone numbers, addresses, credit card numbers, etc. You may post indirect ?text-links? (as opposed to hyperlinks) to such information if you want, i.e. ?h**p://? vs. http://.
No selling of any illegal paraphernalia or anything that may be explicitly deemed for illegal use. No selling holo pouches, plastic, dumps, bongs, switchblades, etc.
No trolling. Stay on topic. Any side comments such as ?hey man, where do you live?? will not be tolerated. Ask derailing questions via a PM or in a new, fitting forum/thread.
Make coherent posts. We have a lot of international members for whom English is not a first language. As such, basic spelling/grammatical errors are acceptable, thus is human nature. However, there is an obvious discrepancy between innocent spelling mistakes and purposefully obtrusive ?1337? or ?k3wl? talk. Most word processing programs have a spellchecker. Use it. Although on the other hand, don?t rely on the spellchecker alone, manually proofread your post for coherency before posting.
Post in the appropriate forum. Note that each forum has a description, post to the one that is fitting. Also note that most forums have their own set of sub-rules. Those must be obeyed as well.
Keep in mind that whatever you do, you can be tracked. Your IP addresses are logged (this is to ensure that disruptive members can be promptly removed), which authorities can use to contact your Internet Service Provider and obtain your home address. Proxies can and often are subpoenaed for your IP, as are other proxies if you chain, and so forth. These rules are for your own protection (going back to Rule 1, don?t expect RORTA to cover your ass if you incriminate yourself).
If you have any further questions, or if you feel clarity is lacking in any of the rules, please feel free to bring up your concerns :)
Enjoy your stay! We look forward to hearing your ideas :)
