For every fallen hero
There is a risen divinity,
A man dies to embark on a god's search for truth,
And I've been looking to rewrite religion anyway.
I'm a broken child that they are calling a man
And I'm going to make them pay
For their faith in me when
My head heavy on nectar I begin to decompose
In my favorite high,
When I'll topple olympus and send
Its inhabitants to a hard landing
On a rocky ground,
When I'll burn the father tacked up to
His son's thriving memory,
When I'll wake and emerge from
Your mother's deepest tomb and
Make the madness mine.
I'm looking to escalate the stakes before you
Roll the dice,
Spin the chamber,
Let me show you how to spare your children,
And give me the power to
Strip the mask away,
You can look upon my filthy features
And in disgust leave me
To my wandering,
Leave me to weaving
An intricate display of your deepest self denied,
And LEAVE ME TO DESTROYING MINE,
Give me the power to kill your every dream of hope or loss
And present to you
My corpse as a representation
Of every lie your parents have ever told you,
Let me become a hero,
And with your last bullet,
GIVE ME THE POWER TO KILL YOUR GOD!
