Don't know if any of you have covered this before, but it made me some money and friend of mine even more money.

Walk into meijer with 300$, buy a nice stereo, walk out of the store with it and hand the receipt off to your friend waiting outside smoking, your friend goes in grabs the same stereo and walks out the opposite door with it, IF he gets stopped he has a reciept thats only a few minuites old for the same product. GEnerally speaking they won't even stop you because they don't put those bothersome electronic doohickeys on the bigger merchandise. Return the one you have the reciept with the matching numbers for and get your 300$ back, go to another meijer and return that oen without a reciept that same day, or sell it to one of your friends or some shit. but its a quick and easy 300$ or free stereo system. Simple I know, but it works.

This should work in theory, just remember that some stores may have security which are so bored they do their job as best they can.

I work in a store and no-one's getting anything out, if I can help it. If I steal I lose my job, so I dont wana risk anything... so no-one else is getting anything out either.

If you take back the stereo I doubt they will give you your receipt back, ready to use.

well, youre allowed so many returns without receipts per year, and you could sell it discounted to a friend and still come out with a decent profit.

you mean like my whole damn town? Stores around here are probably just stupid, but it works out well for me.

It is not entirely impossible to get past the felt marker or hole punching technique they use to prevent this. Considering the fact that your receipt is only a few minutes old, it would be very simple to say that you walked out one exit, then realized you forgot something and came back in to grab it really quick but you hadn't bothered to go to your car to drop off the stereo or whatever. Actually go and by a pound of butter too, that is super cheap, and it makes your story more believeable. Obviously you are going to have to do this at a store that has exits and entrances on different parts of the store. The bigger ones usually do.

what if security asked which cashier u bought the item from, and if he/she recognized selling the item to you minutes before?

what if security are watching your friend on cctv the whole time he is in the shop. people tend to forget especially in the larger stores that they have security that are paid to watch screens and radio through what they see to the floor staff?
