Easy fame and money? C'mon, very few people get any kind of career or fame because of the fact that they were in Big Brother. That Craig guy is the only one who has made something of himself because of it, but he's entertaining and good at what he does in his shows.

All the rest end up as washed up wannabes, or host cheesy softcore porn channels...

The only show like that that i'll watch is MTV's the realworld. I hate all of the other shows though. Tere was a guy from my town that got into big brother I elieve it was. A sarcastic ass black guy.. He got kicked out of the show somewhere near the season's end and he just went back to work at the same job he had before the show. He's a mortician BTW.

Those shows dont do much for peoples fame. They just make lots of people look like asses.

Reality tv makes me sick, it's not really even reality. Nothing on TV is reality, it can't be, who would watch somethin that is as boring as your own life? TV altogether is rediculous and I usually only watch a few shows.

i am so happy everyone pretty much hates reality TV. It is bullshit! Can anyone name a single person or band that has made a succesful career longer than about 4 years as a result of taking part in a reality tv show? Where is hear say, the winner of last years xfactor, big brother winners??? After all don't people go on reality TV to show people their talents (in the case of xfactor, pop idol) or what they are really like (big brother, im a celebrity get me out of here, survivor...) in the hope they can make a career out of their talents or the fact that people like the personality they see on TV? (which is blatently not what they really are like) If you just watch the xfactor auditions you will see the kind of pathetic losers that sign themselves up for the following weeks of what turns out to be humiliation, false hopes and disappointment. Can't they see no one has made it? and most of them have no talent! the x factor is apparently something that only very talented people have...so why do these ugly, obese, talentless, toothless (an 50yr old with no teeth went to audition and simon cowell was struggling to keep the laughter inside him) no hopers waste their time? If you had the X factor you would get a recording deal! They have been brainwashed into believing that anyone can win? what do they think it is? the lottery?

MOST of TV, not all, is shit as well, the amount of crap dramas...you can pretty much guess the storyline within the first 2 minutes, the acting is pathetic ( actors supposed to be crying have no tears falling from their eyes but instead cover their face and bawl)...what is the world coming to? At least a few of us have our eyes OPEN!!! lol Whats the solution? kill tv?? I don't fucking know! KILL REALITY TV? YES!

The X Factor is hilarious. I've seen it once or twice, and the losers would make you split your sides with laughter. I don't watch much tv, and the only reality tv I watch is sport, but the X Factor is funny as fuck!

America's youth is so corrupt due to these shows and they're all the same in every episode. I've studied the OC and in every episode that guy gets into a fight and that chick goes off and does drugs and they break up, and then in the next episode they have sex and are back together again. Frankly, i think it's the biggest waste of time ever. Fear Factor is fucking stupid as well.

The OC isn't a soap opera dipshit. Soap operas are those boring ass things we cant watch because they are played on ABC or NBC while we are at school. The OC is cool Andrew, duh. *(sorry Im drunk)

Im gonna have to disagree with you that these shows are "corrupting" our youth. These shows are a product of the younger generation, not a cause of them. The TV stations that put out these shows aren't trying to "corrupt our youth" quite as much as they are just capitalizing on a new market trend, and you can't blame them for it, all the kids are calling for this kind of garbage, so all they have to do is spew it out and make millions. easy. If you want to blame someone for these shows, blame the "corrupted youths" themselves, they're the ones demanding all this nonsense.
