10Mbit at home...
There are plans to move that out to 40mbit to compete with ADSL2 which can pull out 20Mbit....

I saw on the BBC interactive news yesterday about tests going on to use some sorta flying object to give around 1000 times as many people as who can use a sattelite connection speeds up to 120Mbps at 1/10th of the cost of sattelite.
Ill look for the article, if it's online.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd say the 100Mbps is how fast your ethernet is and the others are your net connection...

Speed: 100.0 Mbps

That's from the task bar. I got the other figures from our account details on the net. What's this wireless business Jedd?

That's just your nic's "max speed." what it actually achieves is dependant on what ISP/broadband method you use.

How are you determining your actual speed?
Using a firefox extension, I get these results:
down: 3Mbps
up: 280kbps
:eek5:
Using a nearby server at speakeasy.net yields:
down: 20Mbps
up: 1.5Mbps
:nana:
The speakeasy results reflect the speeds I'm actually paying ComCast for,
and are close to results from some similar sites.
