Ok, the other day my hard drive crashed, and since I'm sick of winblows always doing this I loaded KNOPPIX from the live cd onto my drive, and am very happy with it. However, it won't work with my wireless network adapter. So I decided to reload winblows. It won't work, it gets to the screen where you pick to install it or repair an installation, and freezes. I have tried 3 different windows cds. They all do the same thing. I have wiped my HDD using the KNOPPIX live cd 4 times, it completely wiped out. Still, nothing. I need you guys' help with this, I have a fucking project that I need to do with MS Office.

First download this http://dban.sourceforge.net/

Second listen to the drive. Is there any clicks, taps or anything else. Clicking and tapping is the tell tale sign of a head dying.

I decided to just go with Linux. I kept my KNOPPIX install, and got the internet working. So it's all good, and possibly better than before :).
