I was playing around today and did something without even thinking about it. I saved a swf file from a website.

This isn't exactly uncommon for me, the weird thing is that I did it in a slightly different way that Im used to.

I have always used Method 1: Manual Downloading from Dizzie's tut which can be found here. (http://www.rorta.net/index.php?page=ripflash)

I always assumed this was the easiest way to do it, and it is really... except I can save you seconds, yes, you heard me right, SECONDS, on this method by changing it slightly.

Do everything the same until you have the URL. Then enter it into your Firefox address bar (cos you don't use IE, do you?!) and run it. (full screen swf files don't usually look too hot)

Then simply press Ctrl+S to save the file... see, imagine what you can do with those seconds? Maybe lengthen an orgasm for a loved one... and whoever said Rorta does nothing for your sex life?!

how about view source, and search for swf, then make a link to the file, right click and save target as. that's always been my way of doing this.

edit: seems like this is what you did. wouldn't really think anyone needed an article to figure this out though.

The internet brings a lot of different people together. Not everyone would find something as easy as someone else. Ive read tutorials before which other people would sneer at, and they've been very helpful. Also, this was wrote in 2003, maybe you learned from Dizzie!

Actually I learned it by being a little wannabe hacker. :p
