The majority of people have it, or had in the past... hair, a wonderful thing. You can totally change your appearance, people's opinions of you and if you want to change back, it's just a case of waiting!
Ive been having all these weird and wonderful ideas for my hair lately. I wear a hat in work all the time, and usually have another hat with me to wear home... Ive turned into a hat kinda guy. This has let me grow my hair, something I havent done in a long time... now, it's only about an inch long, but thats a lot for me... I have really fuckin' thick hair. My general idea was to shave the back and sides totally but take nothing off the top, and then think of a colour... easy. Ive done blonde, Ive done red, Ive done black, Ive done blue... and ya don't see many other cool colours about.
So guys, what colour should I do it?!
...and what have you guys done with your hair? Now? In the past? Friends/family? Tell or show.

I say you LEAVE the back and sides and shave the top, then with a razor to get it nice and smooth. Maybe polish it. Then die the rest of your hair white!!! That'll be f'n sweet!

I've been sporting the undercut (long on top, shaved on sides and back) for awhile now, I fancy that...my hair's too thick to comb through half the time, and when it's down, it's still long as shit.
Used to do all sorts of shit involving gel...wicked one-inch spikes...five-inch spikes laying against my head, with three short ones at the widow's peak standing up...
Been every colour of the rainbow at least twice, but who hasn't these days? My favourites were the deep blue, nuclear red, and black with pink streaks.
Though I like C.R.'s idea...go for that, Doc. :D

well, i havent done shit with my hair really. it's just been long for the last 8 years. i spiked it a couple of times but that's a HUGE pain in the ass to both do and wash out. my hair is also extremely thin.
bleach your hair. not a white, but a very very blonde color, almost white. then spike it and frost the tips with a really bright blacklight reactive type red color. ive seen that before and it looked awsome. granted i dunno how it'd look on you. the guy i knew that did that also had thin hair.

Uhh... Dudes, let's say we rule out the polished top with long white back and sides. Funny though.
I need to be able to hide as much of my hair as possible, especially if it's an unnatural colour.
I was thinking before of doing something similar to your suggestion, THErAPIST... dyed light with light blue tips. The only problem with all this, of course, is our lovely UK economy where everything costs sixteen and half times more than it should, but Ill maybe save up ~?100 and get it done.

light blue tips would likely look better than red now that i think about it. that's something i haven't seen in any way before. red's a bit out played. sorry everythin costs more though :(

Dye the roots red and the tips black, then it looks like your hair grows bright red, and you dyed it black. Saw a girl in Brisbane with a hairstyle like that. It was REALLY good. She had long, straight hair.

I've seen people with this. The look doesn't always work out well for people. But if i had to choose i color, i'd go with neon green.

That's what I have, a crew cut... You should try one.

The back and sides are ours, the rest is your own...
I somehow doubt Im going to be joining the armed forces any time soon, though.
Ive had my hair like that a few times, Reload... it's too common here now. It's the easy hairstyle.
Colouring your hair is expensive here, to get it done professionally... and now that Im single, I dont have a SO to do it for me. Guess it's back to the skinhead look for another half decade.

Thats what I had before the crew, then I got tired of it so went with the crew...
If I didn't have blonde hair I would bleach it.... but like you say anyways, it aint fucking cheap for peroxide up ere.

Be a freak and get a mohawk or something... I dunno the english word for it but it's like a row of spikes all the way back to your neck right, like the good old 80/90's punks. In norwegian it's called "hanekam" which would directly translate to english as cock's or rooster's comb. o___O
Oh btw, I'm getting that for easter. :o)
Another btw, what do you call, in english, the contraption you put over a dog's moth to prevent it from biting anyone? :o

High and tights look dumb.......I know......I see them constantly. I stick to a high reg(what you called a crew cut). Its popular outside the military, it isn't really noticed and forces people to look at your face, and has zero maintenaince besides getting it freshened up every week. Very popular amongst Mexican gangster fucks.

I've done bald, crew cut, faded crew cut and a mohawk.... I like the faded crew cut the most and stick with that a lot of the time.

I think I've come to a deeply saddening conclusion. I think it's time to bring an important part of my image to an end. I've had side-burns since I was about 12. They were never very good, but hey - I was 12 with side-burns. But now I'm older, they aren't inherently cool. I do believe, in fact, they've become quite the opposite. I thinking about getting rid of them tomorrow. But after 6 years..........
(I have trimmed them in the meantime, by the way)

Shave them into lightning bolts. Then there will be no stopping how cool you look.

I've dyed my hair auburn before and I have had blue streaks and blonde and red streaks but my whole head was never blue.

I've been thinking about going for a complete blue/electric red look, just for kicks, but I'm worried about the damage it could do, and the fact that I'd probably take some amount of maintenance, especially when the natural colour starts growing back. And the girl at the local hairdressers got the cut wrong again last time (when she fixed the side-burns). Would I trust them with such a task?

ive had my hair almost every color of the rainbow. ive never really had problems. other than when i dyed it blue it turned green because i am naturally blonde, and reds turn orange. i havent dyed it in a long time, and dont really plan on it. ive gotten it out of my system.

No don't trust them. Get someone else who knows what they are doing. It's best to go by word of mouth when finding a stylist or if you don't know anyone, find a good one in the yellow pages. It's probably not as big a deal for you because you are male and your hair is likely to be shorter but a home coloring mishap did damage my tresses and I had to get a recent cut and I ain't pleased about it. :mad1:
