No props. I could tag better then that. You need to see the stuff in my town. That's real art.

I would be interested in some more general photos of that dilapidated structure.

There should be a tagging competition thread or something like that, you go out and tag and post the result and then everyone votes for the favorite..

I have seen stuff on the side of the local freight train that looks
like it was digitally rendered and somehow pasted on the train
cars.

I thoroughly condone graffiti as a form of art however throwing shitty pieces up in public areas annoys me to no end. I'm not saying this about Reload's work, he obviously puts a great deal of effort into what he does and I can only respect that.

What I would like to know is how would one go about actually developing an original style of "tag" as it were and then developing that into an interesting and visually appealing peice of art? I understand a lot of kids these days practice with felt markers but would it not be more beneficial to start with a large board of wood and a spray can?

Graffti has always impressed me. Many graffiti artists are not only creative in expressing themselves but also, generally, create art which I would not hesitate to pay money for.

Tags, bombs, throw ups and pieces.

They all start off on paper mate.

Bascialy, just start practicing on paper, then when you get a decent hand style going hit some ply wood with a spray can. Be sure to get some montanna paints though.

Also, it's easier to do it in pen first as you get a better idea of what you want to create. It's harder with spray cause you have blow back, spray dust and drips to contend with.

Plus paint costs an arm and a leg... So it's best to practice with pens, get an idea, then practice with the paint.

I aint no artist so my tips may as well be printed off and burnt lol, but thats what I've learnt.

I wouldnt suggest doing throw ups inless you can fight decently!
that is inless you are in the Burbs with a Flashlight Cop and
Gates.

I remember some Wiggers doing those in a Parking lot one time
and this ~20 year old ex con whent over there and beat the fuck
out of all four of them and kicked the side of there Honda in.

The few people I have met that where worth mentioning in the
field didnt buy paint. They would 5 finger it from Hobby shops
and Hardware stores.
