Fuckin' windoze...

OK, every so often when Im downloading something with bittorrent, and I open the folder before the one downloading in windoze explorer, it crashes. I use WMP, anything like that to view it, the system crashes. It's happened with 3 or 4 films which I was downloading backup copies of cos I have the DVDs and Im a lying bastard.

Any idea what the problem could be?

are you opening a copy of the file, or the file that is downloading? if this is still a relevant issue for you...

Try right clicking on the file you want to open and copying it, then paste it else were on your hard drive and open the copy. Or use VLC player.

At the time, I couldnt even right click on the icon... windoze explorer crashed as soon as the contaning folder was opened. It seems to have been fixed with a WinXP update. At least, thats what Im assuming it was.

Why not run a virtual windows machine and download in that and then at least your whole system wont crash....
Just in case the update does'nt work!

This was almost a year ago I was having this problem, and it resolved itself soon after.
