I got an IDE HD and a case which converts it to USB2.0
I tried formatting it in the disk manager but can only format it up to 32GB (it's a 120GB HD). Now, before you start shouting about XP being limited to formatting HD's up to 32GB in FAT32, I'm formatting it as NTFS. I should have no problem... So, can anybody here help me?

You have your jumper on the wrong side. Move it from the power to the IDE cable side.

I'm almost positive the jumper is set to master, which is the one on the IDE cable side yes? I'll check though, thanks.

The HD came with two jumpers on it. They were positioned on the leftmost side. On the top of the HD it said that is to set it to master. I thought it strange for a HD to use two... According to the little leaflet that came with it and I shoulda read first day, the two are only used to limit it to 32GB and to use only one to unlimit it. Kinda retarded methinks, it should have even said that on the HD itself, but at least the HD works ok now...
