GROWING WEED

Howdy, right now, i'm in the process of growing my own weed. Right now, they are just sprouts, but i will keep you updated on the growth, and when i smoke/sell it. Of course i'm going to smoke a bit of it to test the strength of it. And then i will probably sell it to my friends just for some money, for i am a broke ass nigga. Anyhow, Give input about whatever you please. As for the progress of the plants, they are just sprouting leaves. How long would you guys say it would take before i actually start getting weed?

It didn't work out. It looked like they were about to start growing buds, but I didn't plan them deep enough (dumbass me) and so they started falling over and falling out. However, I do plan to try this little experiment of mine again when I obtain new seeds. I'll keep you updated.

That sucks about your plants man. My friend was gonna try this, I'll have to let him know about that. Were you doing it indoor or outdoor? Also, how tall do they get, I've never actually seen one..

I was doing it indoor. Mine got fairly tall, maybe 6 inches or so. That was about a month of growing them. Just tell him to plant them about 2 or 3 inches in the ground if he decides to do this.

Where do you get the seeds? Will seeds I get from a bag work or is there some other method to obtain them?

If you get them from a bag, which is pretty easy over here as the seeds are actually legal, it?ll tell you on the pack that about 50% will sprout.

Also, remember that if you put a jar of water on the windowsill and wait for bubbles to appear that this is the best water to give them rather than straight from the tap.

Now, when SWIM bought packets of seeds from a shop in the city they were in a 6x6 packet? Pretty damned small so if the website agrees to ship to foreign countries you may as well go for it. Customs wouldn?t suspect a thing.

These ads were featured in my Loaded from December 2003 so I'd stay clear of calling the numbers, (I can't help you on English area codes neither).

The above sites also have a free catalouge so maybe it's worth ordering one online.

hers a tip.place the seed in a paper towel, then fold the paper towel into a square, get the paper towel damp.Soon youe seed will sprout, this is the best time to plant it. Also make sure you keep your plants a good distance away from eachother, or the males will turn the females into male.

Here's another tip. If you're growing indoors, (Which I would suggest for legal reasons), Get a large pot and plant your seeds about 4 inches down, and put it in a small dark closet. Put a UV lamp in there, and water it regularly, as well as spraying the leaves with water when they start to come in.

4 inches is too deep for the seeds. I'd say no more than a half inch deep

Anyway, 4 Inches are way too deep I believe.. And when you mentioned " for legal reasons " There is no such thing as "legal reasons" to growing Marijuana. I doubt they were growing buds in only a month or so.. It would take about 2-3 months ( maybe bit more) to actually start getting buds.. and remember to kill off all the males before before they start pollinating, Or right when you start determining the sex of them..

I could write a book on this topic, but seeing as I don't have time to do so, ill just list the most important tips....

1. TELL NO ONE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING. NO ONE! This is how 80% - 90% of growers get busted.... NO ONE!!!

2. Use a good strain. No sence risking your freedom to grow shwag. Shitty pot grown under the perfect conditions still yeilds shitty pot.

3. Do your research, expecially if doing hydro. Growing quality bud is not as easy as just throwing some seeds in the ground. Pick up a copy of high times magizine.

4. Indoor is the way to go if you have the means and are comfortable (relatively speaking) with the increased risk involved. Hydro is great once you get the hang of it.

5. Leave no trail. If doing indoor and purchasing equipment, don't mail order it. Find a hydro store, borrow someone elses car, and pick the stuff up in person.

6. If doing indoor, don't skimp on the light. This probably has a bigger impact on your yeild than any other factor. Basicly, you will probably need at least 300 watts of juice... and that is the low end.

7. If doing outdoor, make sure to "sex" your plants. Get rid of the males as soon as you can tell which are male.

8. If doing outdoor, do not plant on your property. Really give some thought to the location. It will need a good bit of sun, but you don't want it too easy to see from the sky. Best stratagy is to spread the plants apart, so they are not as obvious to aircraft or the occasional hiker.

9. Investigate the laws in your area. The law varies wildly from state to state. In Ohio you can have up to 3 plants and it is a mistermener. Oklahoma on the other hand considers an eight of bud a felony. Investigate the law, then really ask yourself, "could I handle getting busted". If the answer is no, then i wouldn't suggest growing, its not worth your freedom.

Hi, heres a pic of one of my 5 plants im growin in my bedroom, its a hash plant and has been vegging (growing up) for 3 weeks under a 600w light, as you can see its a bushy mo fo, keeps getting fatter by the day. Just started flowing them today so the lights are now only on 12 hours a day. Will post more pics and an update when we start gettin buds on it.

Im using a really simple set-up, loads of blank n white to block the lights from showing out the window, sheets off silver paper to refelect the light, two 600w lights, only got one on at the mo, waiting for some more cuttings to grow up and two fans. The plants are all in pots, in canna soil, and we are feeding them a mix of canna A n B.

Im happy to offer help to other growers if you have any questons, if i cant answer them then i know a man who can, he's used to NFT systems so knows his stuff. Should point out i can only help with indoor growing, this being the UK we cant really grow outdoors.

Yup that is the most important thing, it really is how people fuck up, some people in my area put a grow up and started going round shouting about it, thinking they were mr big cus they had a grow on, they got busted within a month.

For me the buzz is from the whole process of growing a nice smoke and sorting my close close mates out when its done. basicaly if you wanna be famous then go and star in a movie dont do something illegal and think you can boast about it cus you will ether be bubbled to the police or get ya grow robbed. The less people who know the better, loose lips cost lifes as they said in the war

i also have had some growing experience indoors. the reason that they grow really tall and fall over after they sprout is that they are not getting enough light. they get long and thin looking for more light. when they get closer to harvest you might run into the branches drooping from the weight of the buds, take some coat hangers and straighten them out, and use them for support. :) happy growing

Good idea, hadnt thought of that. Ive always rapped them with netting, gives the buds the support they need and looks kinda funky :tongue1:

Will grab another pic of my hash plant at some point cus its now a mean mo fo, its HUGE and only 5 days into flowing, from looks of it, its gonna be a monster of a plant :crazy:

When indoors it also helps to keep a fan set on a timer to run on high periodicly. Not as important for pure indicas, but a must for sativas. Remember, the artifical environment you are creating for these plants never has wind without a fan.

Ive got two 12inch rotating fans running off a timer, the 'wind' the fans create help to strengthen the arms so they can take the weight of the bud. This also why with some plants it helps to net them aswell, give them that bit more support. Ive just had to net my hash plant as she gone mental, she's got arms all over the place, its more of a bush than anything. But the 2 blueberry plants ive got dont need netting, as they have nice thick strong stems and will have no problem supporting the buds acording to my growing partner who growed for 5 years no stop, 100 plants each time, 100 out, 100 right back in. So ill take his word on this one, and if any fall over ill blame him lol.
