The Bait Steal

This is a simple method of stealing a wallet or phone from a outside dining table.

You need to find someone who is seated on their own and has a small valuble item resting infront of them. Now bend down to tie your laces and when your down there slide a coin of a high value under their table.

Now double back and pretend to be a casual passerby. Say to the person:

Conman: "Hey mate there's a coin down there"
Victim: "Thanks"

Its all about timing. Try and keep moving and as he bend under the table to pick it up take the item. Now they may or may not notice it's missing straight away so it's better to get out of sight quickly. Scale a wall, walk into a shop or a crowd, just get away from them as quickly as possible.

Snatch and run. Not exactly a new concept.

Well its slightly more dignified then snatch and run...

Because they person thinks they have made a profit, until they notice their phone or wallet missing...

This smells a little too risky for me. I'll stick to shoplifting...

Basically get a map & make your way over to a table of which a single person is sitting. Pathetically ask for help with finding where you are on the map/directions & when they connect into conversation place the map on top of wallet/mobile phone. Slip the hand your holding underneath the map en route for the valuable, calmly take hold of it. When you have the directions, offer the mark a cigarette* or a simple thank you. Walk off calmly around the nearest corner and scarper before they grasp the fact that the harmless tourist they helped has just robbed them.

*This will cause a sort of tunnel vision effect as in the mark reaching for his/her lighter (bearing in mind it?s in the pocket). Thus you have a short time to escape. :popworm:

Never make contact with your victim. Try not to even show your face to them. They have nothing if they don't have a face. :wt:

might as well just get a gun. much easier and less riskier.

I hope youre joking about the gun.

Not only is this risky, its just stupid. Shoplifting can help you get by, and isnt generally a problem with a large corporation. They will either have merchandise insured, so they dont lose to much money on it, or they will just flato ut be able to AFFORD it. Stealing a persons wallet is a bitch for them to figure out, and just morally rude.

:yup:
I wouldn't set anyone up like that unless they had previously done me wrong.
