Watched 'Ghost in the Shell.' Kind of interesting. An anime detection thriller laced with philosophy. And I generally hate crime shows.

This afternoon: 'spirited away...'

Man, I saw that ghost in the shell movie, fucking boring as hell, its just some lame anime that tries to convey some sort of convoluted plot about robots having souls or something, but it does it in a really boring way and it takes itself waaaayyyyy too fucking seriously. Don't waste your time.

Spirited away though, damn fine movie, although i dont usually like the japanimation, it's pretty good.

Spirited Away. A young girl crosses from real to vague as she finds herself in a parralel spirit inhabited island. Kind of dream-like in the way that things appear around her. But not separate from the security of normality.

I liked the part where the sea appeared at the crossing, filled from the frog's mouths.

Ghost in the Shell is generally regared as one of the greatest animes ever imported to the States. And it holds a place of honor in Japanese anime in general. So shut up Numb. You just have an anti-anime bias. *sticks toungue out*

I havn't seen the flick, but the Ghost in the Shell game on the PS1 was cool.

GITS (Ghost in the shell) and the series GITS:Stand Alone Complex is pretty rad, but Im kinda an anime nerd/cyberpunk type stuff fangirl *shrug*
