[Inspired by h0ppinlowrider's thread on &TOTSE]

Use this thread to share various underground tidbits which don't necessarily merit a thread of their own.

-"With locking lugnuts on rims you dont really need the key. Just hammer a socket onto it and attach to wrench and apply alot of pressure till it gives." -h0ppinlowrider

-"Apparently some polarised lenses can be used to see through camera glass + shining a tripod mounted laser pointer into the aperture of a security camera will render it useless (depends on the quality of the camera). " -cobra47

-"Wal-Mart has announced that it will not prosecute first time shoplifters if the value of the merchandise was under $25." -Stop

-To see which ceiling domes don't house any cameras, shine a flashlight at them.

-Perforations can easily be made with an unthreaded sewing machine (and cardboard backing, if need be).

-As temperature increases, ink viscosity decreases.

Every store has a certain percentage of items they can lose. Walmarts is over half, about 52%.

So they may just ignore you if you're careful.

A large number of Sainsburys stores have their staff walk a certain route when starting/finishing breaks, to cover high-price areas. Avoid break times (ie. 9-10.30am , 12.30-2.30 , 3.30-5) if stealing from this chain.

A lot of major retailers which dont open until 1pm on a Sunday will have main doors unlocked but the automatic open disabled. With our drinking culture in the UK there is a good chance the place will be full of drunk/hungover students and you could slip in and out of these doors with something in hand without stirring too much awareness. Wearing the uniform boosts your chances significantly. Check if the store has baseball caps as part of their uniform too, to help hide your face from cameras.

Although I cannot tell this as 100% truth, Ive been told it has been used numerous times and worked. If stopped for speeding in the UK, especially by an unmarked car, you should always ask for evidence that you were actually breaking the speed limit. If they were simply driving behind you and noticed your speed this way, their word is not good enough. Of course, avoid this if you have been drinking/dont have tax/etc. as they may look for something else to do you for.
