I did a search and I came up with nothing so I think I am safe. Has anyone seen "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest"? If so, let's disucss. :wiggle:

seen it. It seemed like a cool movie. Johnny Depp shows to be a versatile actor, though most of his roles nowadays are sort of the "oddball" type. Disney seems to be intent on making money as there is clearly a third part. Depp was clearly the star of the film and I liked the way he played Jack Sparrow.

When I first saw it, I was like "what?" this dude is weird. He is acting like he's...well I won't say. I agree that Depp is a good versatile actor.

Like most sequels, I didn't think POC:DMC was as brilliant. Entertaining, yes, but less original. There were no new quirky surprises. There was added intrigue and exotic sort of stuff like the oracle woman, but less gold originality: like the catch-phrases and characterizations of the first movie.
It was about the time when Jack Sparra was running inside the mill thing, was knocked out and unrealistically fell out sideways that I realised that this movie was not intended to be as serious as the first movie. It was funny though.
I HATED looking at the stupid shell creatures growing out of Bootstrap Bill's neck!! He wasn't very pirate-like either.
phew, that's it.
7/10
The wooden eye pirate is my favourite: his facial expressions and doltishness is a crack up.

I didn't see the first movie and that is probably why I didn't have any preconceived notions of what the sequel should be and was able to enjoy it for what it was.
I have got to get the first one of DVD though. :D
