Could anyone tell me/show me/give a link/whatever on how to make a remote detonator, like from a phone/radio/cb/whatever ranged ?
I mean without being an electronics geek ?

there are a couple ways you can do it that are pretty easy like from an old cordless phone with the pager button on it. disconnect the ring speaker from the phone hand set and replace it with wires/ ignitor. you can unplug the cradle from the wall and power it with batteries. you hit the page button and that a couple seconds later whatever iis hooked up to the phone handset gets ignited as long as it doesnt take a lot of amperage or voltage. i used it for model rockets since they only take a vew volts to get those igniters to get hot enough.
only downfall is that the range isnt over a couple hundred feet max unless you run both the antenna from the hand set about 8 feet up into the air, and the antenna from the cradle about 10 or 12 feet. if the range is anything over what it has stock then it's an fcc violation (like you really care right heh)
you can do the same thing with wireless doorbells from wal mart and the like but the range isnt more than 50 feet max
i could tell you how to do it with cell phones too but that's an expensive waste of a cell phone and it takes a little more know how on the electronics tinkering end.
last of all lets not forget that if someone used a wireless door bell of a cordless phone that they should have long wires hooked up to the device being ignited, and they should be hooked up to the phone/ doorbell after they've been hooked up to the device so that if for some odd reason theres any interference and it gets activated by someone/ something other than you, youre far enough away that you dont get harmed.

That is exactly how IEDs are rigged in Iraq.

Nvm, i found how to do it with talkie walkies :D
Extreme range :)

Sounds cool.
Looks like some jews/arabs are going to get fucked up very soon.. LOL.

yeah... too bad walki talkies and hand radios are always on one of the same few frequencies, so anyone anywhere could set it off. atleast cordless phones (cradle and hand set) andwireless doorbells are progammed together so theres far less chance of initiation from an outside source like another person

Radio activated relays are available on sites such as ebay. I bought a four channel one a while ago, it's never failed me.
It acts as a radio controlled switch. So you supply power to the unit, and you run leads (and a battery) to the blasting caps from the relays. The cap leads must be a reasonable length though, otherwise the blast will destroy the RC unit.
I think the RC relay is by far the easiest and best method out there since it's literally plug and play, and it doesn't have the signal interference problems that other methods have (no unfortunate wrong numbers, RC car signals, etc.).

you can easily make a voltage multiplier circuit with a bunch of capacitors (Which will handle the voltage by the way!) and a simple 9v battery. You can multiply 9v up to 147,456v (Or as much as you want you will cook the battery though, we just need something to create a huge charge that can jump from one lead to another and ignite anything imbetween) with the use of capacitors in a voltage multiplication circuit.

s7, if you don't know about it already, I think you might like roguesci.org

:o nice... i do like. I hope you arent referring me as one of those "Know it all, doesn't know HOW to do it" people they talk about on the front page :P a multiplier circuit can be made in less than a minute, with the price of parts totaling probably a dollar (No need for anything but wire, caps, and diodes). Thanks for the info tho ;) diggin through right now
Edit: From a quick read of roguesci you can also use a piece of nicrome wire heating element clipped out of a toaster or hair dryer as an electric ignition system

Not at all, just giving a source. I haven't been there much in the last two years, but I have the same ID. "Defendu" has some good material.
