After drinking 8 beer, I wanted more... Unfortunately, this was at 11.30pm, when pubs are locked up for the night. I walked down the street anyway, and found a pub owner locking up. He said he would get me a carry out, and I was pleased. I only had a tenner on me, and when he opened up and I got in, he revealed he would only sell at pub prices... 6 bottles for a tenner, I was quite displeased!
A drink was a drink, though... better than nothing, I figured. On leaving the pub, a drunk decided to attatch himself to me. He kept begging for a drink, but I made up story after story. Eventually he said he would buy four beer for a tenner, which I got six for... after hearing this, my ears perked.
When we got to the last Chinese, I talked him into giving me a tenner for 3 beer, leaving me three.
So I get home with three beer, not enough, but the same money in my pocket as when I left.
Definitely a bargain!
