Basicly I just ground down the area for the stickers then sealed them in there with clear nail polish.
The weirdest thing is, since I put the stickers on it I havent had any jamming problems !

Its a fairly small handgun and not accurate/powerful at all but its chambered in .380 ACP (approximately 950 fps velocity and 200 foot-pounds (ft-lbs) energy). For Defense rounds I use PMC starfires, they seem to function fairly well in the weapon (which is better than I can say for Winchester FMJ ).
But uhhh, In short I wouldnt want to get shot with it, but if I had to chose between this and say something in 9mm Id take this one. I dont even really shoot much with this one honestly, hehe, I just thought it was an awesome "Im bored, what can I change about my toys" dealeo =^_^=

why are your rounds so slow? the rounds for my 12 gauge are shooting at 1290 FPS.
and my .22 shoots at 1280 FPS with 131 ft-lb at the muzzle.

.380 cartridges contain a very small charge compared to either the 12-guage or the .22 LR(I'm assuming this is what you mean)
They are like little capgun charges. Weak shit.

heh, well yea, the powder charge is small, but still quite a bit more than a capgun =p
Oh and goddamnit I need a breathalyzer for my computer, interwebnet + alcohol bad

ive only put about 50 rounds through it. but at 20 yards(measured) i had a 14" diameter grouping on center mass, but to the guns credit, im not the best shot in the world

22nd September 2008, 12:32 AM
well 14" is pretty shitty. I'll ask again in a while when you have a chance to practice with it.

14" at 20 yards isn't super horrible. Most self defense engagements occur around 7 yards so he's shooting at 3 times the normal practice distance. I do know that a P345 is a pretty accurate piece though. I've handled one but didn't have the opportunity to fire it myself. The guy who owned it was a firearm fanatic and he said it was his new favorite sidearm.
I might post pics of my guns sometime, including the most tacticool single shot 16 gauge shotgun in the world, complete with 17 1/4 inch barrel. *thumbs nose at Big Brother*

Meh. I must be jaded with the accuracy of pistols. The only people I have ever shot with are my uncles and they are amazing shots. The kind of people who can put 10 rounds into a duck before it hits the ground from 50 meters.

Yeah, like the skeet shooters in the Olympics - That's fucking badass.
As opposed to some pimply teen who can pull off a headshot in Gears of War within .5 seconds.

That's questionable... I think I can throw .380 rounds harder than they get fired. I have serious doubts about the ability of a .380 to penetrate a person wearing a heavy coat.
I mean, the 9mm isn't a powerful stopping round and it's got TWICE the energy of the .380. In fact, the .380 has got lower velocity and comparable energy to a .22! Yes... a .22, not a .22 mag.... just a .22
And since the .22 is a smaller round, with higher velocity and equal energy, it has a better chance of penetration.

The .38 isn't that bad of a round. It will still go through 1/8" mild steel with ease and hurt the naked person behind it. People often say that a certain round is useless but I have to argue. Even a .117 can kill if its manages to hit the temple or a soft bit.

In the States the .380 acp was used as a police round for some time.
Now days it is 9mm, 45acp, .357 and .40S&W.
Make note that 9x19mm (the classic 9mm) is the most used military pistol round in the world.
It is very capable of killing people. And for .22lr, a kid in Finland just killed 10 people + Himself with a pistol chambered in it.

A) I don't put lots of stock in what the police use.
B) Source? Police have used the .38 special, and maybe the .38 acp, but the .380 is SOOO underpowered it's ridiculous.
C) I agree that the .22 can be lethal... it's what many hitmen use (many being a relative term)

Wow, are you high or something ? .380 ACP is by no means the best choice for self defense but its better than nothing and most pistols chambered in it are pretty darn concealable
Need proof ?
All shots fired from 10' distance. Block was faced with 4 layers of heavy denim fabric to simulate the strain on the bullet from penetrating heavy winter clothing. In order to keep in sync with the photos of the bullets, the test results will start with 'shot 4'.
Shot 4 - 95gr Winchester 'WWB' truncated cone. Impacted at 776 ft/sec, penetrated to 16.0" and was recovered at the base of a second gelatin block placed ~ 4.0" away from the rear of the first block. Bullet was recovered undeformed, with no expansion apparent.
Shot 5 - 95gr Federal American Eagle FMJ. Impacted at 741 ft/sec, penetrated to 18.4" and was recovered undeformed with no expansion apparent. No yawing was apparent during the entire penetration track.

But anyways the piece of crap handgun that spawned this thread nearly blew up a few months ago and is now used as a paperweight. Davis/Cobra sure did/do make a shitty product

Am I high? Not right now... :D
But my point, even if through hyperbole, is that I wouldn't carry this load. It is the ABSOLUTE minimum for self protection, and many experts wouldn't even rate it THAT highly.
I've always been a sucker for over engineering... so, if I can't fit my snub .357 inside my belt, then I'm not happy.
I figure anything that has to score a perfect hit to be effective isn't worth my time....
