Hi all, I've been lurking this board for a few days now and out of both interest and frustration, someone built me a so called "Magic Bag". Now I do have to admit that I'm not 100% sure about it working, I was wondering if the design is safe to use:
Someone made about 12 layers of Tin Foil, fully enclosed but wrapped around a cardboard frame. The cellphone test worked.
Now the thing most affraid of is the security system from the shop to 'nick from. It has 2 EAS Defender Pilars at the cashregister. They are VERY close positioned to eachother. I'd guess about 1.20 metres. Is there any way of knowing for certain if the Magic Bag will shield the RF tags from the 'nicked merchandise? And don't say remove the tags, it's impossible due to the fact that the DVD boxes are enclosed in a PVC protective box, and yes the tag is sticked INSIDE that box. Attempted to break the PVC box but it's just too noisy.
